156: Demands and reunion

Akihiro's POV

Entering the Soul Society I looked around, the place didn't look all that interesting but that was because I'm outside a small town of glorified shacks and sheds, this isn't what I thought heaven would be like.

My parents said that the bible tells of the 7 levels of heaven meaning I'm on a lower level of heaven than in the highest level of heaven with God and the angels but maybe I'll go up there and maybe be able to see him when I die for the 2nd and final time here but right now I need to find my parents.

"Welcome to the outer Soul Society." I looked over to see a man wearing the same black robes as the others that took my parents here and now they were somewhere in this really big megacity" hey." I said and he handed me a slip of paper, reading it I glare at him and tore the paper apart, and let it fly away in the wind" I'm not going to be assigned to that district, I want to find my parents right now." I said.

"I'm sorry but I'm doing my job." He said," clearly you're not doing a good enough job, I want you to send me where my parents were assigned to, I don't want to search for them for decades." I said firmly" I'm sorry kid, I can't, other souls coming from around the world build their own towns and they find their families faster." He said.

"What are you?! A heartless monster!? Write down another district, the one where my parents are, and send me there! I won't be able to live with myself if you don't!" I yelled, he put his hands up in surrender" I will, I apologize." He said," thank you, the rest of my family hated me and I don't want to go through being alone anymore." I said.

He nodded writing another district on a slip of paper and handing it to me" the others assigned them to district 37 east, good luck, by the way, my name is Tao."He said" Akihiro Sekiro, nice to meet you but I don't think I'll ever see you again." I said," we might, who knows." Tao said and I ran off in the direction of district 37 east really hoping to find my parents, I don't even know what to do it had just tricked me,' I'm coming, just wait.' I thought.

2 hours later I finally made it to district 37 east" why does this place have to be so damn big?" I muttered and sighed heavily going around to find another one of the reapers and found one coming out of a store, jogging over she looked over to me" what do you need?" She asked," what time is it?" I asked.

"Noon, why?" She asked," I'm looking for my parents, where are they?" I asked" food booths, they looked remarkably similar to you." She said," thank you." I said and took off toward the food booths, I knew that twice a week we used to go there when we were alive but souls don't eat, after a bit I got to the food booths and started looking around" Akihiko!" I looked over to one of the tables and saw mom.

I grinned running over and hugging her when dad joined us" where were you when we came back?" Dad asked," I wandered off, I came back and you 2 were yelling to wait but they stamped you and you were gone, I had to demand a soul reaper to assign me here." I said," you wouldn't be able to live with yourself if you hadn't." Dad said.

"I'll tell you this, become a soul reaper but don't be as much of a jerk as those 2 were," Mom said" how? I don't have enough power." I said," you can try to guide souls to their families." Dad said," I don't think I can handle doing that." I said," it's ok, we can catch up on what happened over the last year or 2." Mom said.
