174: Zeppelin

4 weeks later, Aziraphale's POV

"This is the second time Germany has attacked England." Crowley hissed" yes but it's with aircraft, the humans are advancing quickly which is making our job harder." I said," souls can't be claimed with hollows, I want to protect the souls from being eaten." Crowley said transforming into his snake form, transforming into angel form.

"Cmdr Ila said that captain Tosen is here to ward off the hollows, how do you purify hollows?" I asked," I transform into a dragon, that's how." Crowley said when we heard howling, summoning my sword we walked out of the library into the partially destroyed city, gunfire is heard as they try and shoot down the zeppelins when a large group of souls came running up and looking scared.

I glared over at Crowley" I thought I told you last year to get all of the souls you could find and bring them to me or the soul reapers in the area?" I asked," I did, these guys must've been unlucky." He said," you're not safe out here, get into the library, and you'll be safe." I said, they nodded and ran in before we left helping out other souls before going into the library and sending them off the heaven when a few soul reapers arrived.

A small battle in the sky was going on with the hollows and a few demons, Crowley went to go and help them and left me on the ground and wandering around the city purifying the hollows and getting souls to safety" why do you have a flaming sword?" I looked over to a lone soldier hiding in a building, but I didn't answer him.

I just put a finger to my lips so he'll stay silent when he figures it out which he did" oh my god, you're an angel." He said, I nodded" I'm a low ranking one, I'm here to help with a threat you can't see, maybe after this war you can help by guiding souls to the soul reapers in the area." I said.

"Oh, like the few dozen up there fighting those heartless demons? I was wondering about that, I thought I was the only one." He said," if there weren't any then the world would be flooded with hollows and terror, only the spiritually aware and demon hunters know that's very much the opposite." I said when we heard crying looking over a little boy's soul walked up to us.

"What's wrong kid?" The soldier asked," I can't find my mommy, please help me." He said," she's at the library, I'll guide you there." I said, he nodded and we left before the soldier could ask about the chain on the soul's chest but there will be more to come.
