100: Study break

3 weeks later, Toshiro's POV 

Lifting my head I cracked it grumbling a little bit and massaged my temples, a couple of hours ago I finished my homework and since then I've been studying, yesterday I went straight to the headmaster's office and asked about the test and if it really was 60% of our overall grade.

He confirmed it saying that I have until February to study and now I'm studying like a madman to surpass my academy years and progress' great, I won't be getting a break until spring break comes around.' I thought when the door opened and footsteps came over over to the bed" hey Toshiro." Adrian said" what do you want? I have studying to do." I said looking up at him, his eyes widened.

"You look like crap, have you been up all night studying?" He asked," yes I have been." I said," you need to get some sleep and stop stressing about the test, 3rd, 4th and 5th years don't get the announcement about the test until 7 weeks into the year and we have 9 months to study for it, when it does come everyone taking that test will get together to study, at least you have a headstart." Adrian explained.

I sighed heavily closing the book" you're right about that, so where do you go to have a study break?" I asked," there is a bonfire that the first years go to and have a dance party, for the intermediate years they go to a warehouse that was converted into a bar, I can take you there." He said," I can't drink, I'm underage." I said," the bartenders there make more than actual boozy drinks, you can get an iced tea or juice if you want." Adrian said.

"If you say so, then let's go," I said and we left, 15 minutes later we got to the warehouse and it didn't even look abandoned and like Adrian said the entire place had in fact been converted into a bar, crates were stacked and nailed together with large pieces of wood were nailed on top of the crates to set your drinks on and talk when the music started blaring.

I had heard about the new type of music in the living world called jazz but here it's like proper party music when Adrian went to the bar and came back with an iced tea for me" thanks." I said taking a sip when I saw someone start dancing, a crowd gathered and cheered him on" does this usually happen, I thought it would've been ballroom dancing." I said.

Adrian snorted" in the living world it's the classical music era but other types of music have come and stayed so it's more of the pop music era here, if that was the case then no one would even bother coming for a slow dance." Adrian said," I have a lot to learn about the musical eras in the living world." I said.

"When we have some spare time we can go to the library to read about the musical eras in the living world," Adrian said," I'll make a note of that," I said," so do you want to try your hand at dancing a little bit?" Adrian asked," I haven't even attended dance parties, they're going to hate me." I said.

"I can go up with you and we can ham it up." He said, after a bit of thinking it over I nodded" ok." I said draining my iced tea and we went onto the dance floor, I just hope I don't screw it up.
