23: Cold day

December 23rd, Hasine's POV 

"Jeez why does it have to be so cold to start class, it's only the last day of school before Christmas break." Renji said," you have to get used to it, sometimes we'll have to fight hollows in the dead of winter in Alaska or Russia." Kiri said," that's going to be miserable." Hinamori said," as I said, we're not going be fighting in the most optimal conditions." I said," you can control the elements, can you control ice?" Iba asked softly.

"Yes, I can, I've killed numerous demons with ice as I did once with Michael 2 millennia ago in the tundra that became Russia 1000 years later." I said," I'd rather be watching the living goof around than dealing with hollows but oh well." Kiri said.

"Alright class, it's the last day until Christmas, let's just have 3 practice bouts and then you can hang out with the rest of the class, unlike the other teachers who are doing the opposite," Amihan said when Hisagi ran in" sorry I'm late, I didn't want to wake up." He said," it's cold outside and the body gets lazy but you will get used to it." She said," I'll try." He said trudging over and sitting down.

"So where should we go?" Kiri asked," Little Russia in the 60th district, I've been wanting to go back for some time." Hisagi whispered," I'm in." Izuru said," I'm with him." Kiri said grinning. 20 minutes later the bouts were finished and everyone was hanging out either sitting on the floor or standing up scattered around the room as Hisagi went to talk with another of his friends" so can we see the ice thing?" Hinamori asked.

Looking over to Amihan she's not paying attention while talking to one of the other students" it's not just ice." I said tracing a half circle with my foot, putting my hands together for several seconds then parting them with a perfectly conjured snowball, their eyes widened a little bit" are you going to throw that?" Izuru asked," nope, just to show you I can control snow as well." I said making it disappear.

"That was cool but it never snows here, it only gets frosty." Renji said," go to the library, there should be a book on what happened 2000 years ago." I said," are you saying that it snowed here 2000 years ago?" Hinamori asked, I nodded and she was about to squeal out loud when I put a hand on her mouth" do you want to cause a heart attack to the guy over there? You can do it when it snows again." I said," I thought that was a one-time thing?" Kiri asked.

"Nope, it'll happen again, I have no idea when," I said," if we see a group of living people we're just going to watch them?" Izuru asked," yes, don't join, you'll get the chance sometime." I said," I hope you're right." Rukia said," how will we know?" Renji asked," when it gets colder than normal and it'll rain heavily a week beforehand and the snow will stick." I said," how about after school you make another one and throw it at someone." Iba said.

"I already have one." I said smirking" who?" Renji asked, whispering in his ear he nearly died laughing" how much do you want to put Toyhiro through?" He asked," not all that much, I just want to see his reaction." I said," this is going to be fun." Izuru said grinning.

8 1/2 hours later

"Hey, Toyhiro has left the building," Renji said as I whipped Iba's sword out of his hand and dropped mine and traced the half circle, and put my hands together, several seconds later a snowball is in my hand, turning around I made sure they weren't paying attention then threw it with my all my strength at the black haired man.

Toyhiro's POV

I was about to retort at a statement Tosen blurted out when something cold hit me in the side of the face - hard making me fall to the ground with a shout" what was that?" Komamura asked," someone threw a cold ice ball in my face." I grumbled wiping the slush off and muttering in disgust as I got up.

"Someone has it out for you." Komamura said, I could hear the smirk in his tone even though I can't see his face under the helmet" I think I know who but I can't do anything." I said pouting.

Renji's POV

"That felt satisfying even if I wasn't the one to throw it." I snorted" we're with him, at least Hisagi was with the others or he would've found out." Hinamori said," even so she's giving him a crapload of hints and it's only been 9 months since we've got here." Izuru said," surprised he hasn't connected the dots or just forgot about it since the demon incident nearly 2 months ago." Kiri said.
