19: Skull Wing

4 1/2 months later, Izuru's POV 

Walking into the barracks, no one else was there except for Hasine sitting on the bed and holding her sword for some reason,' what are you doing?' I thought walking over and sitting on the bed bed beside her to see her meditating, even with her eyes closed I can see eye movement" Hasine, wake up." I said, her eyes froze, her face calmed and several seconds later she opened her eyes.

"What is it?" She asked" why were you meditating with your zanpaktou? The spirit isn't even born yet." I said" yes it has been born, has been since day one, I don't know his name yet and when I do that's when he's officially born.

I evolved into an archangel and he's evolving right now, he's a couple of weeks into the skull wing angel stage, and for the next 5 1/2 months, and like I can't give into temptation, this is the stage for us to strengthen our bond, if he fails then he goes straight back to the trumpet blower stage and has to re-evolve.

Why do you think I dragged Amihan out into the hall to explain why I can't spar with my asauchi until March 2 weeks ago? That's why so now until March it's a psychological battle for him, I have to take the role of teacher and he's the student if he wants to fight I have to fight him if it were you guys he'd siphon their emotions, and have a harder time squashing the temptations down." She explained.

"That explains the cross as the hilt of your sword, every other asauchi handed to the class and the leftovers didn't have it, I guess that's the lone multi-elemental zanpaktou, I guess no one could imprint on it." I said" trust me, several students tried and failed but they left a tiny bit of themselves in there. 

The weakest parts may awaken a few new challenges of controlling the elements since one of them is a tiny bit of metal manipulation in there, I took all the other abilities out with the exception of hypnosis, all angels can make illusions and hypnotize people so I can use that to amplify it a bit, I just have to talk to Haniel about that since he's the best at it and got assigned guard duty at his Holy Majesty's throne for it." She explained.

"So your zanpaktou spirit is looking for a righteous person to let them wield him, a person turned away from sin in the world is what you're saying. Perfect match, what does that mean for you?" I asked" we're one and the same, we're part of each other, I have free will but I'm steadfastly loyal to God and loyal to Gotei 13 when I graduate. 

He also has free will but is loyal to me and others if we're separated but if someone were dumb enough to try to manipulate them without any permission will be cast out" Hasine said," that'll be useful, plus I didn't you would figure it out that quickly on what a zanpaktou spirit is." I said.

"When I was in the skull wing stage me and my brethren grew closer to get through resisting temptation, my weapon spirit is becoming closer to me, and to test himself he's been making friends with other zanpaktou spirits and they'll all be born next year." She said," good luck, I'll leave you to it," I said and left.
