4 months later, Byakuya's POV

"When this war is over I'm going to have a 3-hour long shower." Yumichika grumbled," you've had numerous opportunities to wash off in the lake, the forces on either side are equal." Hisagi said," I agree with Hisagi, you've had plenty of opportunities or you were scared of haunting a house to clean up." I said smirking.

"Ok, ok I get it, you don't have to pound it into my head but thanks to the tanks hollows have been hiding underneath them just to get the element of surprise to feed," Yumichika said," didn't you scratch thanks for making our job harder into the side of one of the tanks?" Renji asked looking over to Izuru.

"I did, the troops that saw freaked out, the Canadian and British soldiers knew what it meant since they wait for the hollows to come out of hiding and then kill it when it jumps out," Izuru said," they're helping us make out job easier," Yumichika said" with or without us throwing tanks up to find hollows? Thanks." Renji said.

The day drew on along with the battle on the ridge, hollows coming out 4 hours into the battle to feast on the souls of the freshly killed soldiers, people on both sides that can see souls shoot the hollows that come through the Gargantas with machine guns while also taking out some of the opposing forces.

Also at the same time try to avoid killing the spiritually aware knowing they fight for 2 causes, protecting their friends' souls from the hollows and fighting in this war while the respect of the others there wishes of not telling anyone about this.

3 days later

The last of the gunshots are heard as the German army beats a hasty retreat over the cheering of the allied forces but at heavy casualties, our work here is done at the moment and letting the hollows try and eat the souls that are waiting for the guardian angels to come and take them away but something tells me the war is in its final stretch.
