That smile was not the reason I fell for you
That smile was the one I looked forward to
That smile was what I yearned for
I wanted to be the reason for that smile
That smile was there in every dream
That smile was the thing I wanted to see
Every day, I wish to be blessed by such wonder
That smile was the sun that shone on my little leaves
That smile was the water that kept me quenched
That smile was my dream, you are my dream
That smile was the one I looked for when I cracked a joke
Cause the truth is, I wanted to make you happy
That smile was the most beautiful thing I've seen
But it wasn't the reason that I loved you.
