"Metaphors"

A friend of mine told me to use more metaphors
To add more puzzles, spice, and mystery
Use deeper words in my poems to say what I want
But I did not write this poem or book for them
I wrote this for you my dear night sky
I don't care if there is not enough metaphor or simile
I don't mind if not every line has a rhyme
I wrote this for you and I want you to understand
Knowing you, you prefer simple things and simple words
Here are the simple words you are looking for
It is aimed directly at your heart
I'll repeat it again, this book is for you
These letters are only yours to receive so claim it
With your permission take a broken piece of my heart and travel away
I wish that every poem in this book reaches your stone castle
There are only so many metaphors to say that I'm broken
But I prefer dropping the bomb directly in front of you
So take it, take my gift, and remember
There was once a poet that wrote a whole book just for you.

A/N: Hello, I would love to hear your thoughts about this poem. You can write your favorite line or the phrase/line you like the most in this poem. Mine is down in the comment section. I'll be waiting for your answer. Once again thank you for reading! Love you guys, bye!

PS: I don't have any photos to post so I'll just post random drawings of people HAHAHAHA. I drew this or fun so might as well use them in my book.
