"Worth The Wait"

I don't know how things that weren't there before just appear
While things that you wanted to stay disappear in the blink of an eye
I was certain I would never play any romance with you
But here I am lost in the beat of your heart's rhythm.

When I first felt something different about you, I felt weird
I don't like that I despise seeing you with somebody else
A part of myself wished it was me who made you smile
I was confused about my feelings for you back then.

I have the urge to see you every day
One glance was enough to make my rainy day
Your kindness melted my pessimistic heart
I felt secure when I was by your side.

I spent many days and nights analyzing my thoughts and emotions
Wondering if it was a dream or a trick by somebody
I hope there was someone else I can blame
But the truth is, I just realized I fell for you.

I wonder how you don't notice the arrows behind my words
It is you I am talking about when I talk about the person I like
It is you, the theme and subject of every poem and conversation
It is you the reason for the songs my heart has written.

These feelings that are bothering me are making me crazy
A part of me wants to stop since I know you wouldn't feel the same
But the part that is left says you are worth the wait
"Wait just a little bit more" my heart begs my mind.

Maybe someday you'll see me too
Maybe a bit more hard work will cause me your love
Maybe someday the rhythm of your heart will be the same as mine
Maybe it'll be worth it, maybe you will be worth the wait.
