POEM #63: GARDEN OF ROSES (GREY ROSE)

"Garden Of Roses: Grey Rose"

Grey, the last of the great three

He was the most gentle one

He pricked me but apologized

The last one was not so much of a good guy

So I thought I'll find a gentleman

A kind guy who will take care of me

Someone who wouldn't make me cry

But turns out, even good people will scratch your heart

No, not just scratching, he broke it

He manages to break me with his kindness

I must say it's such a great skill to have

I am hurting but can't blame him

He makes me want to stab myself

I feel guilty, makes me feel like a villain

I guess he holds a special title of pain

A pain that you can't even explain

It hurts so much but even then I can't bear to hate you

This rose is the most beautiful one in my garden

Morning dews just gently slide through its petals

Its scent filled the whole garden with comfort

But behind its beauty is its thorn walls

And I never have the power to break them.
