"That Kindness"
That kindness was the reason why I fell deep
That kindness was the seed that grew this tree of love
That kindness was the one that touched my cold core
That kindness was the heat that melted my pessimistic heart
That kindness was the tingle that made my heart flutter
That kindness was a dream that kept me up at night
That kindness was the key to my locked mind
That kindness pushed me into that pit
It was the force that pushed my heart first into your heart
That kindness is where it all began
That kindness was the first thing I loved about you
But that kindness was also the truth I hated when I found out
I found out that your kindness was just kindness and nothing more
That kindness was the liar who fooled me
That kindness was the one I had mistaken for interest
That kindness made me fall but it also made me bleed
That kindness broke my heart and I hate it
That kindness taught me to love again
And I loved you
That kindness giveth to me
I guess, it could also take it all away.
