Justice nowadays is so hard to obtain. After last week's trial, here we are again inside the courtroom for another battle. Another day for me to fight for the justice that Knight, my lost daughter and I deserved.
The same group of support for me. My parents, my brothers, my other Kuya's with their wives. Knight and Knoxx' parents, Knoxx with the beautiful lady beside him.
"Miss Regala, where were you late night of May 11, 20xx?" Atty. Gonzales started. His eyes met mine and it's like telling me to to trust in him.
I saw Vanessa paled as she looked at my lawyer whose now giving him a serious but dangerous look.
"I was in the same party with Samantha, Atty. Gonzales. We were both invited. As what you've seen in the video we were talking the whole night and I invited her to my hotel room. She came voluntarily. I didn't force her."
"You didn't force her and didn't plan anything against her, right?" Atty. Gonzales said, it is more like a statement than a question. Vanessa nodded but it's very obvious that she's tense.
"Okay, you didn't force her." he added saying the last words like he is giving him the first warning.
"It was late night of May 11 20xx, that my client claimed that she was drugged when Miss Regala, the accused, offered her juice and water when they were inside Miss Regala's hotel room."
Muli ko na namang naramdaman ang malakas na tambol ng puso ko sa loob ng aking dibdib. Nararamdaman ko rin ang unti-unting panginginig ng aking katawan. This is what I'm feeling every time I'm having panic attack pero kailangan kong pakalmahin ang aking sarili. Hindi ako pwedeng maging mahina ngayon.
"That night, my client went to the party to celebrate the birthday of a colleague but not planning to have some drinks for some personal reason. And in the said party she met the defendant Miss Regala unexpectedly and weirdly acting so close with her."
Tandang-tanda ko ang nangyari nung gabing yun. Sadyang hindi ako uminom dahil nung araw yun nakumpirma kong buntis ako.
"Atty. Gonzales, there was no drug test done, no reports being made and no complain filed against my clients the next day. Now, you are telling that your client, Miss Dela Vega was drugged? How sure are you? How can you proved that to this court? The incident happened years ago. We don't know if your client was really drunk but she went on my client's hotel room voluntarily." Atty. Romulo said and my lawyer moved his shoulder a bit like what he said is nothing.
"Yes you are right, she went to the defendant's room, willingly." My lawyer said and we were not expecting that. Even the judge looked at Atty. Gonzales, surprised.
"That is because my client, Miss Samantha Dela Vega is kind enough not to hurt other people's feelings to the extent of risking her life and safety by not thinking of the danger waiting for her inside that room." He walked in front. Stood proudly as he looked at the defendants seriously.
"Miss Regala, you took an oath that you will only say the truth and nothing but the whole truth. Let me asked you this question. Where were you early morning of May 12, 20xx?"
"Objection you honor."
"Overrule. Answer the question, Miss Regala." the judge said. Matagal bago sumagot si Vanessa nakita ko pa ang pagsulyap niya sa abugado niya ito tumingin kay Atty. Gonzales para sumagot.
"I was in the same room with Miss Dela Vega but I left after her boyfriend, Mr. Rome Acosta came to t-take her." She answered.
"You left..." Atty Gonzales said in a low voice, then he paused and smirked at Vanessa who is now tensed. " You left after the self proclaimed boyfriend came over? Is that right, Miss Regala?" Vanessa nodded. " Not thinking of the consequence that your so called 'friend' was left their alone with her boyfriend?"
