"Dra. Aldover is obsessed to someone she can't have. Your Knight, Sam."

"Liar! You conniving asshole!" Dra. Aldover exclaimed loudly. "You're lying. I never threatened you! You do it on your own will. Matagal mo nang gusto si Dela Vega. Ikaw pa ang unang lumapit sa akin para tulungan kang makuha mo siya."

"Atty. Romulo..." tawag ni Judge sa abugado ng kabilang kampo na ngayon ay pinapatahimik na ang kliyente niya.

"You are lying, Acosta! I will never do that to Knight. He's my friend. He's important to me." Pilit itong kumakawala sa mga pulis na pumipigil sa kanya. "Don't make your business as the reason. I don't know what you are saying. You're a loser! Liar!"

"Order in the court!" The judge exclaimed. "Miss Aldover! Silence!" Nakita kong namo-mroblema na si Atty. Romulo habang pinapakalma ang kliyente niya.

Ang mga magulang ng doktora ay nanatiling walang reaksyon. Nakatingin lang ito sa anak nilang nagwawala at pinapakalma ng abugado nito.

Bakit? Wala ba silang pakialam sa anak nila?

Kung totoo lahat ng sinabi ni Rome? Bakit nila hinayaang gawin yun ng anak nila? Hindi man lang ba nila naisip ang magiging epekto nito sa negosyo nila? Sa mga buhay buhay nila?

"We strongly deny all the accusations of Mr. Acosta, your honor." Kapagkway sabi ni Atty. Romulo.

Muli itong umayos ng tayo bago humkabang palapit kay Rome. "Mr. Acosta, do you have any proofs to show your claims? My client, Dra. Aldover strongly deny that she didn't speak to you nor threatened you. It was you who approached her to seek help in order to get what you want and that is Miss Dela Vega."

"Miss Dela Vega is not a thing or a toy that anyone can take anytime they want, Attorney Romulo. I maybe an ass but I have high respect for her. When she said that she liked someone, I respected that but your client didn't. I don't have any motive but Dra. Aldover has. She liked Samantha's boyfriend, Mr. Knight Sarmiento. And she can't accept that Mr. Sarmiento, her childhood friend, loved someone else not her."

"Atty. Romulo, go back to your seat. Let Atty. Gonzales, finish his cross-examination." the Judge said. Nagkasukatan pa ng tingin ang dalawang abugado bago bumalik si Atty. Romulo sa upuan niya.

Umangat ang isang sulok ng labi ng abugado ko bago nito pinadaanan ng dalawang kamay at bahagyang hinila pababa ang bahaging  dibdib ng coat na suot niya. 

"Mr. Acosta, what happened after that night of May 11, 20xx? It has been how many years, why didn't you have the courage to go against Miss Aldover? I assumed that your business is doing well and your career is doing better." Atty. Gonzales asked. Rome look at him as he took  a depp breath and answer his question. 

"My conscience is slowly killing me. Araw-araw akong binabagabag ng konsensya ko pero hindi ko magawang sabihin ang lahat kay Samantha. I'm scared not only for her safety but also for the baby inside her tummy." Rome shifted his eyes on me. I can see the pain and regret evident in his eyes as he looked at me.

"That night, I know that you are pregnant, Sam. Vanessa told me and she showed me the PT stick she took from your bag. I told Vanessa not to tell anyone but Dra. Aldover knew about it already. Then Dra. Aldover told me that she will get rid of you and your child if I won't cooperate. I was so scared 'cos I know she meant it."
