"Nikki it's nowhere to be found babe! Seriously, I've been looking for 40 minutes."

I was walking all around the house in pure dismay.

"WE STILL HAVE TIME! KEEP LOOKING FOR MY BOW" she whispered loudly in the speakerphone. I rolled my eyes then finally caught a glimpse of her bow.

"FOUND IT" I yelled happily, snatching it off the ground.

"Yes!" I heard her cheer quietly.

"Okay well I texted you the address. see you soon!" We said bye then I clicked off the call.

The front door opened making me call for Theo.

"Baby, are you home ?"

"No! it's Ken!" He shouted in response.

I smiled as I made my way down the staircase. I had changed into a white romper with a Jean jacket.

"Hi girl, you making your way to Nikki's performance?"

"Welll I'm making a pit stop to the CEO's office and thenn I will be at the performance."

Ken shook his head side to side.

"Immediately no. first of all, you know you are wasting your time trying to get him to go...He will not leave that office until he thinks he should and second off all, if you don't bring Nikki that damn bow in time- she'll have your head!"

We laughed but I knew he wasn't far off from the truth.

"Here- let me drop it off for her so you can go see Theo."

I thanked him with a hug before leaving.

Ken was always a great friend to have in the house. I found out that not only is he an employee of Theo's but an uncle to Nicole. Apparently, his sister was Athello's ex wife. It made more sense once he told me because other than him- Theo doesn't trust men around me and especially not Nicole. It definitely helps that Ken isn't straight because Theo doesn't see him as a threat to our relationship.

Theo's toxic masculinity is off the charts, trust me.

I pulled into my current job but also my boyfriend's current job. Weird right? I always brought up the concern that he shouldn't date an employee of his but he always says
"I run the damn company. They can't fire me and sure as hell won't go near you"

I turned off my car, grabbing my sunglasses to put them on and picking up my purse.
