Diya's pov
I fell asleep last night after Elias persisted that he should be the one to bring Nicole back to her cabin. We got into a small quarrel about it because I felt that I should've been the one to do it. I even accused him of trying to assure that Theo and I didn't see each other.

Nicole even said she wanted it to be me in the end but Elias pulled me aside to explain that if I lost control emotionally and beat the shit out of Rebecca that we would get sued and lose. He wasn't wrong.

"good morning Babe" elias greeted me, handing me a warm cup of tea. I gave him a small smile, still thinking about last night.

"I know you are upset about Nicole's mother but"

"That bitch is NOT her mom" I corrected him.

"Right. Sorry.. I know you were upset but kids lie about people being evil all the time. I talked to Rebecca and she even showed me a huge mark that Nicole left on her foot- Nicole does not have a single bruise. I think you're just letting your personal feelings get in the way of your logic"

"right because women can't use logic and have emotions" I squinted my eyes at him.

"No no that's not..." Elias sighed making me laugh.

"I'm kidding. Look, maybe you're right. I just can't imagine why Nicole would make something up like that. It's not making any sense..to me at least."

Elias nodded supportingly.

"Attention probably. Her fucking dad sure gives her none. Get this, he came back completely clueless about the kid. He had no idea she was ever missing" Elias shook his head in disbelief after speaking.

"I caught an attitude but had to chill before we ended up fighting" he added.

"Hm. Seems like men are the ones who can't control their emotions"

"Ha ha very funny- We have to go soon by the way. Setting up for the party is gonna take all day up until it starts. My parents already sent out the s.o.s.
They would love your help"

"Okay dokay" I said, sipping some more of my tea.
