Nicole held my hand as I slowly reached inside the house at my own pace. It hurt but it was manageable.

"He hasn't left me for a work trip in a while..." Nicole voiced sadly out of nowhere.

"Are you okay?" I asked, once we reached the couch.

"Yeah, I just miss him."

I nodded in understanding. This conversation meant that I needed to urge Theo to start hanging out with both of us again. I know he hadn't been at the office since his ex wife died but that didn't give him the right to treat work as a top priority since he has gone back.

"Maybe... you can host a sleepover here with some of your friends tomorrow night." I voiced, hoping to excite Nikki.

"Really?" Nicole asked, clapping her hands in excitement.

"Wait...But your leg?" She stated.

"Don't worry. I know a few ladies who can help cook and prep for your sleepover. It'll be soo fun!"

Nicole ran over to give me a huge kiss on the cheek.

"THANK YOU!" She squealed as she ran upstairs.

I gulped as I realized I would have to call Theo and explain what I just did.

I FaceTimed him, knowing he was still in the Uber.

"Hello princess. Miss me already?"

"Yes. Very much so. But I have to ask you something"

"Hm?"

"Can Nicole have a sleepover here tomorrow night?"

"What? no. Absolutely not."

"What?? Why not?"

"Uhm because one I'm not gonna allow a bunch of girls to be there and be vulnerable without me or Ken in the house-"

"What's that suppose to mean?" I raised a brow at his sexism.

"I mean that they are young girls who need an adult in charge and my love, you cannot walk right now. Who will watch over them?"

"I'm gonna have Gabriela, Sophia and Joseline sleep over" I continued to push for a yes. I did not want to disappoint Nicole.

"Mm. Does Nicole seriously want this?"

"Yes! Theo. She really does"

"fine. Just this one time but I need to know the names of everyone coming and NO LITTLE BOYS. Or big boys matter of fact." He made a straight face as he stared into my soul. I started laughing.

"got it. Thanks baby."
