Ken escorted us home then left to go back to his own place. Nicole was knocked out so he offered to carry her but I insisted on doing it myself. It was already dark out so I figured he was probably exhausted.
I just never anticipated how heavy Nicole was gonna be. She looks really light but goddamn was I struggling. My hands started to shake but I tightened my hold on her. I walked up the front steps, attempting to get my keys out.
They, of course, fell down the steps. The door opened to my surprise revealing Theo. He instantly took ahold of Nicole, silently staring at me. I rushed down the steps to get my keys then walked past him to get inside.
"Where have you been?" He questioned.
"At her performance." I answered.
"Till this time?"
"If you were so worried, why didn't you call?" He stayed silent because we both knew that he didn't call because of his ego.
"That's what I thought" I mumbled. I walked away to grab a glass of champagne from the kitchen. When I passed the dining room table, I noticed he had two plates of food on the table. One was empty and one still had food. I examined the empty plate, noticing food marks on it.
I heard him jog up the stairs with Nicole then come back down."I shouldn't have raised my voice earlier. Do you forgive me?" He asked, leaning in the doorframe of the kitchen.
I ignored him- pouring my drink to my liking. I sipped on the glass of champagne.
"Damnit Diya what do you want from me?"
I took another sip nonchalantly.
"Whose plate is that?" I asked softly.
"What?" He questioned like a dumbass.
"I asked- Whose. Plate. Is. That?" I repeated.
"Mine. Who else?" He replied as if I were dumb. He must truly think I am dumb.
"There are two plates on the table. Why would you place two plates down if it was just you.... Whose FUCKING plate is that?" I whisper yelled, trying to make sure Nicole didn't wake up.
"I placed another plate down so we could have dinner together since I came home early-"
"BULLSHIT!" I threw my glass on the ground. It broke loudly and scattered on the floor. I knew he was lying because if it was for me then there also would have been a plate for Nicole.
Theo walked over to me and held my wrists tightly.
"You need to calm the fuck down, right fucking now. Do you understand me?"
I felt a tear fall while I looked into his eyes.
"Who was she Athello? Who did you eat dinner with?" I pressed, ignoring his question.
He let go of me and ran his fingers through his own hair.
"it was Rebecca. Does that make you happy?"
I scoffed, letting a laugh out hysterically.
"Happy? Athello I am far from fucking happy.how could you?"
"How could I fucking WHAT Diya? I just ate dinner with her?!"
"And I should believe you WHY?" I screamed pointing a finger at him accusingly.
I felt so betrayed. Could he seriously have cheated on me? Even if they just had dinner, why her ? Why not me?"You know what- I can't do this" I whispered through tears. I took an apologetic look at the mess on the floor then left the kitchen to go upstairs. I packed a bag to leave because I could not be in this house right now. I checked on Nicole after packing but she was sound asleep. That's good.
My heart hurt so much. It hurt even more that Theo didn't try to stop me from leaving. It's like he didn't care at all anymore. I grabbed his precious Lambo keys, hoping to piss him off the way he's pissed me off. He's lucky I'm not smashing this car to bits.
I made my way into the garage then pressed his code to open it. I tapped Joseline's name on my phone to give her a call.
Pleaseeee pick up.
