Theo's pov
I sat in the private section, sipping some whiskey that the waiter brought me while I watched the crowd. There was no sight of the one person I cared to see.I was beginning to think that she wasn't here after all. Perhaps her vacation at this resort ended.
Around the corner, I stared at the owner's son holding hands with a shorter, familiar looking woman who was staring at her feet while he guided her through the crowd.
My stomach turned in knots. It couldn't be.
They stopped moving through everyone and danced together happily.
"Wooo" my Diya put one hand in the air while she circled her hips. She smiled up at him which made me feel sick. I stood up, filled with more emotion than I've felt in a while. She has been here this whole time? with him? He dressed shamefully and smelled like a goddamn trailer park ashtray.
Rebecca squeezed my muscles harshly, making me turn around. She shows up at the worst fucking moments.
"Hi big boy" she said, her breathe reeking of alcohol.
"You seriously chose now to get drunk? I can't deal with you right now" I admitted over the loud music.
"Go sit down" I motioned, following to sit beside her. I continued to watch Diya from afar- stunned that she was actually in front of me. The Dj slowed the music to make an announcement.
"And now, if we could all be seated for our early seafood dinner. Then we will resume partying"
I stared at Diya. She seductively made her way to where I was; in the smallest bikini that clung to her shape as if it was tailored. Her hips swayed gracefully as she touched each stair step. She had no jacket even though she constantly got cold, just a small beach dress. she should know better. I internally scolded her, hoping that she would meet my gaze that was burning holes through her skimpy clothes.
And she did. She met my eyes for so long that I was sure she wanted me to drag her back to my bedroom right this instant. Once they sat down, she broke our staring contest in advance of Elias noticing.
"I'm having soooooo much fun" Rebecca sang drunkenly, breaking the tension at our table. Diya and Elias turned towards her, both giving opposite reactions. Elias had a slight smile at her while Diya looked grossed out. I was grossed out by Rebecca too so I didn't blame her.
"we can move seats" I heard Elias whisper in Diya's ear. I had to look away or I would go feral that he was so close to her. Skin to skin contact wasn't necessary for a whisper.
"Don't worry about it. Your family would ask too many questions. I don't wanna start problems" I slightly heard her say. The background music succeeded in drowning out my eavesdropping.
"How are you?" I questioned gently. Not even hiding that I was speaking to Diya.
"we're great" she replied, maintaining eye contact.
I ignored her slick little reply, openly staring at her body. If only I could see her lower half....She didn't smile or blink but her stare still turned me on. We remained in a comfortable silence as those around us became a blur of laughter. Oddly enough, time slowed down for a moment. I could tell Diya took that time to search for answers in my eyes.
That eye contact is gonna get you pounded baby, don't you remember?
Elias appeared to be in distress by our heated interaction. I noticed in my peripheral that he was guzzling every drink placed on the table. Mixing liquors was an amateur move but I could tell he was an amateur in every way.
