Theo's pov
I sat in the trailer vanity chair, waiting for my queue to give my speech.

Some of the news crew ran around me in a rush.
Others hurriedly put finishing touches on my podium. I swear they tested the cameras like 10 times.

I could tell that everyone wanted to know about my big reveal.

My big secret. Have you guessed it yet?

A small chattering crowd formed in front of the hidden building, probably whispering to each other about what they thought my next business move was.

I glanced over to Diya who sat criss cross on the trailer's couch. She was snacking on some grapes that she grabbed from the snack tables.

"I'm not even going to pretend that this is good. They're warm and like mushy" She scrunched up her cute face in mild disgust.

"Gross. Stop eating them, you're gonna catch something" I chuckled. Diya placed her bowl down, walking over to sit on my manspread lap.

"No televised appearance is gonna stop me from fucking you if that's what you're hinting at"

"Jesus, I'm just sitting on you" Diya laughed.

"Mm that's all it takes"

"Are you nervous?" She prodded. Her head tilt like a curious puppy while she waited for my answer.

"Never." I lied.

"rightt." Diya rolled her eyes at my answer, grinning.

"Alright Hendrix, we're ready for you to make way to the podium outside" a stranger directed. I gave the guy a nod.

My phone beeped a message from Janine for the 50th time. I knew she was nervous as hell for what I would say in my speech but I had more important things to worry about. Diya hopped up from my lap to allow me to leave the trailer.

"Wait!" She ran over to place her soft lips on mine for a second. I kissed her back happily. My girl never failed to put me at ease.

"for good luck"

I winked at her, walking out towards the elevated stage. Her anxiety was high being back in town so I told her to watch me live from the trailer's tv. There's no reason for her to stand in a crowd of strangers.

I went up the stage's steps, finally standing in front of the intimate crowd, exhaling deeply.

"We're LIVE in. 5...4...3...2"! the camera man sang.

"Hello viewers from home and those who traveled here just to hear what project I've been working on for all this time-"

"-The first thing I have to do for you all is be honest" I continued.

"I used to work late nights with an assistant of mine just to stack up for this side of business that I wanted to ensure thrived. I wanted money for workers, floor plans, construction and soo much more boring details that I'll spare."

The crowd lightly laughed in sync, likely wondering where I was going with my speech.

"My point is that I never told my girlfriend what I was doing. I never kept her in the loop. We even had a night where she swore I was cheating....Let me tell you guys those tabloids didn't help a thing... for your information, I am not with that delusional woman."

I grabbed the microphone off the stand, readying everyone for my reveal.

"My beautiful Diya. I owe you this more than I can say........Rebecca couldn't be fired because she was very deep in assisting me transform this building I bought- into a ballet studio."

The curtains fell to reveal a beautifully renovated studio with an empty sign. I wish I could see the way her eyes were widening. I hoped my secret was everything she's ever wanted.

"I wanted to work towards something for you for so long to show you how much I appreciate you and your passion but it took my attention for far too long. Now, to everyone who wondered what my next business move is. This is it. Diya is opening up her own studio that will have my full backing and investment. She's worth every cent I can muster...Any sleepless night that I spent planning and every damn ballet studio she wants"

"I encourage every viewer at home to find that waiting list online and hope that you get to learn from the smartest, prettiest, most talented woman I've ever known in my life."

The crowd clapped and yelled praises as I concluded my appearance.

"Thank you all" I smiled leaving the stage. Diya was already running towards me, eventually jumping into my arms. I held her shaking body against mine while she cried happy tears. The only tears that should have ever left her pretty eyes to begin with.

"You're unreal" she whimpered into my chest.

"I'm nothing compared to you my love"
