Theo's pov
Thank goodness I didn't bring Nicole. People were dirty dancing on the beautifully lit beach to mature songs. It felt like a club more than anything. I tried to be discreet as I scanned the crowd, but I had a feeling that I was being obvious."Looking for someone?" Thomas, the owner said to me.
"Oh uhm my girlfriend. She was suppose to be joining us on her own timing but it seems that I can't spot her." I lied.
"Oo I understand. My wife is still late to all our events and we're the damn owners" he laughed.
I gave him a fake chuckle. I actually don't give a fuck Thomas.
"Well, that there" he continued, pointing to a section.
"is privately reserved for our family and special guests which includes you. We'll all have a seafood dinner over there soon so don't miss out"I nodded, glancing around the beach. Thomas' wife found us, waving as she walked up.
"I'm so late hahaha. Oh are you looking for someone dear?"
I looked down at her. She was a short woman with greying hair. A friendly grin exposed her hidden smile lines.
"Just looking. My girlfriend should be here"
The woman nodded with a smile.
"If you need any help. My son and his girlfriend- oh gosh where are they? You know we had to set this all up hahaha Well they should be here any second. They would be more than happy to show you around or help you find your lady" she rambled.
I smiled the fakest smile I could muster.
No thanks, I already met your cigarette scented son.
