Diya's pov

My work day went by fast because all I could think about was the ballet studio that Amber told me about. I felt like things were only getting better as I stayed on this resort with Elias.

Although Amber was stupid, she really helped me feel settled in along with Cece when I first got here. The only reason I had clothes was because the two of them shared and bought me some stuff as a welcome gift.

I smiled as I clocked out to go home. I practically skipped to my cabin where Elias was waiting on the porch.

"What are you doing??"

"close your eyes"

I closed my eyes with a big smile plastered on my face.

"Hands out"

"If you put a lizard in my hands, I'll kill you" I joked.

He placed something familiar in my hands.

"Open your eyes" he added.

I looked at my hands to see my broken phone repaired. I was so shocked that I blinked a couple times to make sure it was real.

"Elias..." I gasped.

"Just charge it and click it on whenever. Everything should be there including anything you missed. I took time to assure that nothing of Athello's would appear."

I didn't like not being able to see what Theo had messaged me 4 months ago but it was only out of curiosity. I wondered if he was going crazy or how Nicole was.

"Elias thank you so much. I don't know how I'll ever repay you"

I pulled him in for a tight hug.

"Don't mention it. I owed you it for a while now."

We went inside to the smell of cooking and the sound of the news on. Cece and her bf were setting the dining table up for a few friends Elias' planned to have over.
I instantly went past them to plug my old phone in. I was still shocked but excited for it to work again.

I came back to the dining table and hugged Cece.

"It smells delicious in here"

"Why thank you- I've been trying to cook all day!" Cece laughed but I zoned out for a second and fixated on the TV.

It felt like someone stuck a knife in my stomach and twisted it. Everyone in the room got quiet, they were waiting for me to scream or punch something from what it looked like. I walked to my room and locked the door. My eyes swelled with tears as I sat on the floor.

My heart hurt all over again.
