The sound of the ocean was soothing, the steady ebb and flow of waves alluring Miray to sit closer.

She scrolled through Vince's contacts, adding Kaiden's, Steven's, Rayan's, and Sarah's phone numbers.

Her face lit up when she found Ren's as well. Vince had added his number when he couldn't contact her when she was in Steven's house.

She looked at the clock and smiled, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.

She told Vince that she wanted to go a bit closer to the beach. Vince stood up, ready to accompany her, but Miray told him she desired to go alone.

Vince hesitated, but when he saw the look on Miray's face, he gave up. "Be careful, and don't go where I can't see you," he cautioned, adjusting her scarf.

Miray puffed her cheeks out, "Geez V, I'm twelve, not two," she huffed.

"Exactly," Vince ruffled her hair. "So behave, and don't go far," he persisted, holding her arms.

"V, look around, there's only us, and it's the beach, it's an open space," Miray pointed out, shaking her head.

She tried to step away, but Vince wasn't letting her.

He was acting ridiculously.

"Rei," Vince called curtly, his eyes staring into hers.

"Okay, okay," Miray huffed again, "Geez, calm down." She sighed and stood on her tiptoes, kissing his cheeks. "I'll be right in front of you," she promised.

Vince's heart immediately melted. "Okay," He nodded, "Don't go too far, okay?" he repeated for the third time.

"Okay," Miray bobbed her head up and down, not complaining anymore.

There was no point in complaining or reasoning with Vince when he was freaking out.

"Okay," Vince echoed, finally releasing her, though he seemed like he didn't want to.

Miray turned around and walked toward the beach, getting closer to it.

She was afraid of swimming, yet she still loved watching the seashore.

She pulled her phone out and took a picture of the wonderful view. Then she went into her contacts and clicked on Ren's name.

She wanted to send him a message.

But maybe he's busy? Or in class?

Anyway...

She can try and see.

Miray: Hi! Are you in class?

Miray sent the message and waited for his reply.

After a few minutes, her message was read, but Ren didn't reply.

Miray: Hey! Are you ignoring me? *Angry face*

She pouted when he read the message and didn't reply... again.

What was wrong with him?

Miray: Are you busy?

Miray: Is the teacher around?
