"But you're not my legal guardian," Miray said ashamedly, her voice barely audible. She couldn't bring herself to meet anyone's eyes, knowing how harsh and hurtful her words were. But this was her last desperate bet, and she knew how bad it was.

A heavy silence filled the room, and Miray could sense the hurt, pain, and disapproval thick in the air. She didn't need to look up to know the extent of Luke's and Damian's pain; it suffocated her.

Her heart ached, and she wanted to cry, but she held back the tears. How could she deserve to cry when she had just broken her brothers' hearts like this? 

They didn't deserve this.

They deserved anything but this.

But then again... Vince's life was on the line, and she couldn't think about anyone else at the moment. Her mind was solely focused on saving him, even if it meant hurting the people she loved the most. It was tearing her apart, torn between difficult choices.

She understood her brothers' anger and frustration. They only wanted to protect her, and she knew she was being stubborn and reckless. But the fear of losing Vince overshadowed everything else.

"Is that it?" Damian's voice cracked with hurt, disbelief, and anger, breaking the suffocating silence. "This is how you reward us? This is how you reward Luke for taking care of you all of these years? By betraying us this way?" he confronted, making Miray lower her head even more in shame.

"It's not," she whispered weakly, her voice barely audible amidst the tension and pain.

"THEN WHAT?" Damian seethed, his anger palpable, causing Miray to flinch and cower in her bed. It was tearing her apart, and she didn't know how to fix it.

How can she make them agree to the surgery without breaking their hearts?

Damian's voice was filled with a mix of frustration and concern as he stepped closer to Miray. "You've gone too far, Miray, too far," he said firmly, his eyes locking onto hers. "You're acting on your own without considering anyone else or how your actions are hurting everyone, including Vince."

As tears threatened to spill from her eyes, she choked on her words, "I can't lose him-" her lips wobbled as she looked up meeting Luke's eyes and the tears in them broke her heart further.

"We can't lose you too, you're being so selfish!" Noah said for the first time, his eyes misting with tears.

Miray looked into his eyes, the love and pain she saw there broke her heart even more. She knew that she was causing them unimaginable pain, and she wished she could take it all away.

But Vince...

"Rei, baby, I know your heart, and I know you're doing this to save Vince's life, but you need to think about the consequences. Please, don't do this to us, hmm?" Luke pleaded, gently cupping her cheeks.

Miray felt Luke's warm hands on her face, and she looked into his eyes, seeing the fear and worry in them.

"I can't bear to see you hurt," Luke continued, his voice filled with emotion. "You're my baby, and I can't lose you. We can find another way to help Vince, but I can't lose you."

Tears welled up in Miray's eyes as she listened to her brother's desperate plea. She knew he was right, and she didn't want to hurt him or anyone else. But the thought of losing Vince was unbearable.
