Miray and Luke walked Steven and Ren to the door.
"Good night, sweetheart." Steven leaned in to pull Miray in a warm hug, and the latter hugged him back.
"Good night, Ste." Miray replied sweetly, and she had to rise up on her tiptoes to reach his neck.
She didn't know why all the guys around here were giants.
They pulled away, and Miray planted a kiss on his cheek when he leaned in, tapping his cheek with his index expectantly.
"Sweet." Steven ruffled her hair affectionately like a puppy. He almost wanted to scoop her and take her home but knew Luke wouldn't allow it.
Ren would be thrilled, though... but he also wouldn't allow him near her.
Steven felt someone's burning gaze on him, and he turned around, delighted to find his brother glaring resolutely at him.
He shot his little brother a smug grin, to which Ren just rolled his eyes and stepped to hug Miray, deliberately stepping on his brother's foot and shoving him in the process.
Steven burst out laughing while Luke just shook his head, sounding amused. He was leaning on the door with folded arms.
Luke and Steven resume their conversation about a problem at Stevens' company, giving the kids time to say goodbye.
When Miray pulled back, Ren didn't walk away. Instead, he looked at Miray with a disturbed expression.
Miray looked at him, confused, not knowing what he wanted. "What's wrong?" she whispered, eyebrows furrowed.
Ren huffed, sounding frustrated. "Why did you only kiss Steve?" he mumbled, feeling his cheeks heat up.
Miray's eyes widened slightly. "Because I thought - I thought you hated being kissed." she bit back a smile, trying so hard not to laugh at Ren's adorableness.
His dirty blond curly hair was glowing, soft and fluffy under the moonlight. His skin as smooth as satin, and his eyes had the shine and sparkle of an emerald.
He looked angelic under the moonlight.
"True." Ren shifted uncomfortably, biting the inside of his cheek. "Not you, though," he mumbled quietly and looked away, eyebrows furrowing cutely.
Miray stood on her tiptoe and immediately leaned in to kiss his cheek, she pulled back, smiling gently. "Good night, Ren-Ren." she said softly.
Ren felt the hair rising on the back of his neck, "Good night, Rei." he said back, rubbing at the back of his neck, trying vainly to hide his flushed cheeks.
He liked her calling him Ren-Ren.
But only her.
They parted ways. Steven pulled Ren to the car in a headlock, receiving a flood of insults from the younger - but he didn't seem fazed.
Miray watched the two with a smile while leaning back against Luke's chest, who wrapped his arms warmly around her waist and bent down to kiss her head.
