Hey~

How are you all doing?

I know it's been a while, but I had some reasons...

Anyway, I've written this chapter, and I'll try to update regularly from now on (hopefully~)

I hope you'll enjoy it~

As Damian left, the closed door emitted a sharp, jarring sound, causing everyone to flinch. Miray instinctively shrank back in Vince's arms who's brows furrowed in confusion, his mind racing with urgent questions.

What was happening? - Vince wondered, his hand gently comforting Miray's arm and pulling her closer. He turned to Luke with a questioning gaze, but Luke merely sighed and ran a hand through his hair before he left after Damian.

"What's his deal," Vince voiced out, his confusion mounting as he struggled to make sense of the situation.

None of this made any sense to him. Why were they so angry? And it looked like they were directing their anger at Miray for some crazy reason that Vince was dying to understand.

Miray raised her trembling hands, vigorously wiping away her tears in vain. She fixed her gaze on her lap, avoiding making eye contact with anyone - particularly Vince's, because his eyes were the ones that could read her the best, and Miray wanted anything but for Vince to understand what was happening.

She felt guilty and at the same time wronged.

A part of her wished she hadn't made it through, but the gentle and desperate touches of Vince, his soothing voice, made her feel guilty for even entertaining such thoughts.

Miray felt her chest tighten, suffocating her with every passing moment. The weight of guilt and self-loathing pressed down on her, threatening to engulf her completely.

Did they hate her now?

Of course they did...

Miray was certain of it.

The way Damian glared at her and the venom in his words left no room for doubt. It was a hatred she couldn't fathom and one she knew she couldn't endure.

The mere thought of Damian and Luke harboring such feelings shattered Miray's heart. Hence, instead of holding back her tears and trying to appear composed, Miray broke down, her cries echoing through the room like a lost child abandoned in the wilderness...

Miray's cry echoed the pain of someone who had lost their entire world. Because, to Miray, her siblings love literally meant everything.

Vince tried his best to comfort her without causing any further pain, mindful not to touch her injury. His heart ached, and anger simmered within him as he thought about how his own brother could be responsible for causing Miray such distress.

What on earth had happened while he was in a coma?

He continued to offer Miray comfort as best he could, pleading with her to stop crying and encouraging her to calm down.

He held her close, his whispers filled with reassurance, and his gentle kisses rained down upon her temple, cheeks, head, hands—every part he could reach.
