Miray's consciousness drifted back to reality like a hazy dream gradually taking form. Her eyelids felt heavy, but she managed to summon the strength to flutter them open.

As her vision adjusted to the subdued light of the hospital room, a sea of unfamiliar sights greeted her.

The soft beeps and the gentle hum of medical equipment provided an ambient backdrop to her awakening. The sterile scent of disinfectant lingered in the air, mingling with the faint aroma of antiseptic.

As her senses reawakened, she became aware of the subtle aches and twinges that pulsed through her body. It was as though her muscles were reminding her of the ordeal they had endured.

She shifted her gaze around the room, taking in the array of machines that surrounded her bed. An IV line snaked its way into her arm - much to her dismay. A heart monitor blinked rhythmically, reassuringly confirming the steady beat of her own heart.

Panic fluttered within her chest as memories resurfaced like a torrent, crashing against her fragile composure. She tried to move, but a wave of discomfort radiated from her chest, pinning her down.

"V!" she gasped, her voice coming out as a strained whisper.  She struggled to move, every movement igniting a fresh surge of pain.

Her gaze darted around the room, seeking answers, seeking any sign of him. "L-Lou?" she managed to croak out, her voice laced with urgency and a hint of desperation.

The room seemed to close in on her, the sterile surroundings amplifying her anxiety. All she could think about was Vince and the surgery.

As if on cue, a nurse hurried into the room, concern etched on her face. "You need to relax, dear. You've just had surgery," the nurse urged gently, trying to soothe her.

Miray's chest heaved with each breath, and she felt the sting of tears in her eyes. She tried to speak but her throat was burning, too dry to form words.

The nurse helped her drink some water to smooth her throat.

"Please, where's V? Is he okay?" Miray said as soon as she finished drinking, her voice trembling and her grip on the edge of the bed tightening, her knuckles turning white.

The nurse exchanged a quick glance with Adam who had followed her in. He approached Miray's bedside, his expression a mix of sympathy and professionalism. "Vince is in another room. He's in stable condition, recovering from his surgery as well," he explained, his tone measured and reassuring.

Relief washed over Miray, mixing with her lingering fear. She slowly allowed herself to relax, her body trembling from the emotional upheaval. The weight of the events bore down on her, but at that moment, knowing that Vince was alive gave her a thread of hope to cling to.

Tears welled up in her eyes, and she nodded weakly, her voice barely audible as she whispered, "I want my brothers." The room seemed to soften around her as the nurse adjusted her pillows and Adam nodded. "I'll call them right away," he offered a reassuring smile.

As her body relaxed, Miray closed her eyes, a sense of exhaustion mingling with a newfound glimmer of hope. The journey ahead would be difficult, but at least they were going to face it together.

The nurse left the room, and in a heartwarming whirlwind, her brothers appeared, tears streaming down their faces, an emotional blend of relief and joy. Their trembling hands held hers delicately, and their tearful kisses brushed against her cheek like whispers of reassurance and love.

Luke, Noah, and Ren stood near her, their eyes red and swollen from crying. Their emotions were palpable, a mixture of relief, fear, and overwhelming love.
