Kaiden knocked on Miray's door several times in vain. Miray refused to open the door or even respond.

It worried him.

"Miray, say something. Are you okay?" Kaiden stressed, knocking on the door again. "Miray... I will break the door if you don't respond." he raked his hands through his hair in frustration.

Several thoughts raced through his mind.

He looked to his left at Rayan and Noah, looking anxiously at Miray's door.

"I-is she okay?" Noah asked nervously.

"I don't know." Kaiden growled and cursed under his breath. Just when he was about to break the door - for real - he got a message.

He quickly checked it, suspecting it was from Miray because she usually sent her brothers a message whenever she locked her door... and it was.

{Kai, I'm still alive. I want to stay alone.}

Kaiden released a breath of relief, eyes still worried. "She's okay." He informed the two worried boys.

Rayan nearly cried with relief while Noah exhaled heavily.

"I'll come back later, Miray. Please don't keep the door closed." Kaiden called behind the door and waited for a reply... in vain.

He sighed and motioned for the boys to leave.

He really wanted her to open the door, so he could check on her, maybe just sit next to her and accompany her.

Nevertheless, Kaiden had learned from the brothers when to leave Miray alone. And this seemed like the perfect time.

It was a golden rule, and he wouldn't be the one breaking it.

It was almost sunset when Kaiden headed back to Miray's room. He knocked several times before Miray finally opened the door. Her nose was red, her cheeks were rosy from having just woken up.

"What's wrong?" Miray asked, expression still drowsy and shoulders slumped. "I heard your voice in my dream." she yawned, one hand rubbing cutely at her eye while the other clutched the door.

While Kaiden was wearing a tight black shirt with a pair of denim jeans, Miray was wearing a lime green oversized hoodie with soft white sweatpants, looking all soft and cuddly.

Kaiden bit back a smile at the adorable sight. "Well, I think my soul had to travel to your dreamland to wake you up." he joked.

Miray yawned again and opened the door wider, allowing Kaiden inside. "Well, I was having a very weird dream, so thank you for stepping in." She scrunched her nose adorably.

Kaiden chuckled. "My pleasure, I guess." he bowed his head theatrically. "Let's go watch a movie together?" He said, following her inside.

Miray was quiet for a moment before she spoke again. "It's okay, you can watch it with the boys." She said quietly, motioning toward her desk. "I think I'll do some homework." she lied, fiddling with the books on her desktop anxiously.
