It was super awkward at first, but we slowly warmed up to each other. He made sure I ate. And he kept ordering more too. "What do you want for dessert?" "Oh, nothing. I'm too full." Then, he proceeded to order seven different things. We continued talking for a while and laughing. When I stopped abruptly, he asked, "What's wrong?" I shook my head, "I'll be right back." I slid out of my chair and headed outside towards the balcony where there were more tables. I hugged my arms around me as the cold night air hit. The city lights sparkled in my vision from the glass railings.
I came out here because I saw some familiar delinquent guys in the corner of the room with their eyes on us. This is not good. They probably recognize me.
Or maybe not, but I can't take any chances and risk Koko getting hurt because of it. I made sure to bump into many people on my way out so they'd lose my trail. I saw the Black Dragon symbol on one their arms. I can't do this right now. Maybe I do need Baji and the entire first division after all.
I pulled out my phone, about to text him when someone behind me called, "Y/N." I turned to see Koko. "Oh, hey, what're you doing here?" He tried to peer over at my phone but I tilted it towards myself. He crossed his arms, "I could ask you the same thing." "I just needed some fresh air, y'know. Sorry about that. It's getting kind of cold, so I think we should head back inside." I went to walk past him but he grabbed my wrist, pulling me back in front of him. "What's the rush, Toman's Dragonfly?"
My eyes widened and breath hitched. How does he know? He started taking steps towards me and when he got to the point where one of shoes was between mine, I started stepping back too. "You went out here cause you saw the guys in the corner, didn't you? I told them to stay in a more hidden spot. Oh, well, now we can actually talk," he smirked, continuing his stride.
I flinched, feeling the cool glass on my lower back, knowing I wouldn't be able to back up anymore. Koko put his hand on my back to stop me from falling over the railing.
"Now, Miss Dragonfly, will you come with me peacefully? I have no problem pushing you over the railing and calling it an accident, y'know?"
I turned to look behind me and saw all the cars zooming past the road. I wouldn't survive such a height. It was getting colder and colder by the second. His icy fingers grabbed my chin and pulled me back to face him. "I need an answer now, darling." "I'll go with you," I mumbled. "Huh? I didn't catch that-" I kneed him in the stomach, and punched him across the face. This dress was not made for kicking. I can't keep up a fight with anyone without using kicks. That's what my fighting style mainly consists of. I pulled off the gloves with my teeth and threw them somewhere.
Everyone who was dining out on the balcony had strangely disappeared. I went for another punch but he grabbed my wrists, so I went to kick him. I forgot I couldn't kick in the dress though and he managed to grab my ankle, pulling me to the ground. I sat up, holding my head, as he kneeled down in front of me on one knee and put his elbow up on the other. "C'mon now, I don't want to hurt you.
I just need some information." I scoffed and went to punch him again, but this time, one of the guys from before grabbed my arm and twisted it backwards.
I screamed attempting to pull it away immediately. "That's enough. I said not to hurt her," Koko told him. I couldn't kick him, and now I wouldn't be able to punch him either. He totally set me up for this. Koko undid his tie and used it to tie my wrists and ankles together. He got up, smirking at my glare, and threw me over his shoulder. I hit his back multiple times, thrashing around as much as I could but he barely even seemed to notice. I started shouting insults at him as we passed through the inside of the restaurant, that had strangely emptied. One of the other Black Dragon guys had taken my phone.
What do I do now? I need to change out of this dress, first of all. We reached the ground floor, and I shivered as the cold night air hit me again. "You guys go in the first car, we'll follow you there," Koko said. "No! We're not going anywhere! Put me down, you-" "Boss!" "You have her?" "Wait, who's your boss?" I questioned, trying to turn around.
Koko tightened his grip on the back of my leg. "Stay still," he muttered under his breath. "Is this her?" laughed an unknown voice. "Yes sir." "You sure? She doesn't look like a Toman member." "How dare you! Put me down! Put me down right now! Let me at him! I'm gonna throw hands!" The 'Boss' laughed hoarsely. "She's quite the energetic one, isn't she?" "WHAT IS WRONG WITH Y-" Koko set me down, and I could finally take in my surroundings properly.
We seemed to be in the middle of the parking lot, which was completely empty. There was just Koko, some very tall guy with tattoos and streaks in his hair, and a very familiar face. "Inui?" "You know her?" Koko asked him. Inui shrugged, "Kinda." "You guys know each other?" I asked the two. "Of course." "Anyways. Untie me, you chickens! Let me go!" The 'Boss' chuckled, and kneeled down in front of me. "Tell us about Toman and we will. Or we could totally keep you. Having the Dragonfly with us would give Balck Dragon a lot of extra strength," he offered. I scoffed, "I've never even heard of you guys. We have no beef with you, so why'd you take me in the first place?" "We're working with Roppongi. They need information, don't they?"
"Boss, it's a bit late. You should head home. We'll take care of this," Koko offered. "Are you telling me what to do?" "N-no, I was just.." "He's just saying. It's good for you anyways, so listen to him," I interrupted. The boss stared at me, arms crossed. "And who are you to tell me who to listen to?" I had lost my patience now. "Oh my gosh, y'know what? Do whatever you want! He's right, it's late, we're all trying to go home right now and sleep. I obviously can't as much as Id like to, but since you can you should, you stupid ungrateful-" Koko covered my mouth with his hand.
Everyone went silent and watched in anticipation as the boss's face dropped. The air became very tense and I felt as if I'd made a mistake.
That all went away when he started laughing uncontrollably. He took a deep breath after his laughing fit and sighed, shaking his head, "She's so interesting. I'll go home now, I suppose. Not because you said so, though." And with that, he left, and us three watched him in silence. "Not gonna lie, I thought she was going to die right there," Inui spoke up after he had disappeared behind the building. "Same," Koko breathed, as if he'd been holding his breath in anticipation.
He rushed to untie my wrists. "You better go home, now. And don't tell him we let you go without asking anything. We'll make up information. We're going to say you ran away somehow, 'kay?" "You're just gonna let me go?" "I..I just don't want you to get hurt. And I still think you're quite cute," Koko winked at me, his mood shifting entirely. Inui sat down beside me. "So, miss student council president? What are you doing getting caught up in delinquent business?" I stiffened. "Huh? Who's student council president? I'm just some random delinquent, yeah, yeah, totally!"
Inui gave me a blank stare. "Don't lie to me. I know it's you."
I groaned, hiding my face into my hands. "She's council president? Really now? And what if the school found out about this?" Koko threatened with his signature smirk. "Right. That-that would not be very good," I urgently turned to Inui and grabbed his sleeve, "Don't tell anyone at school!" Inui smiled playfully, "And what if I did?"
I stared at the ground, stressing. He rubbed my back, "I won't, I was just playing. There's no point in it." I sighed in relief and threw my arms around him. "Thank you! You're amazing!"
He awkwardly patted my back. "Hey, don't I get a hug?" said Koko. I turned to him and looked him up and down. His smile dropped. "I'm just kidding, you can have a hug too." I laughed, wrapping my arms around him.
I shivered when I pulled away, and Inui noticed. I was talking to Koko when he walked up to me and tossed his sweatshirt to me. "What?" "You're cold, aren't you? Put it on," the blonde boy said, putting his hands in his pockets. I was cold, so I didn't argue, and pulled it over my head. It was dark blue, and super warm inside.
I turned back to Koko who said, "I wouldn't mind if we went on another date, y'know. Without the whole Black Dragon watching us," Koko smiled. "So it was a date?! I knew it!! I knew I wasn't stressing for no reason!" He stared at me, confused. "Oh, nevermind." "You're so strange. Like a good strange. I like it."
"I think she's kind of annoying honestly," Inui added. "Well, excuse you," I side eyed him. I still caught his small smile as he turned away.
"I'll drop you off." "Let me drop you off." They both said at the same time, turning to each other after.
