⚠️TW: Violence
Did you actually think I'd let this be a normal prom lmaoo?Prom was...interesting. I mean, yeah it was fun, but it's not exactly my thing. They had done a good job with the lighting and decorations, but it didn't feel much different to me since I had helped with some of it. Haru was a good date at least, and would dance with me a lot, making sure I was actually having fun. I would sometimes gravitate towards Senju, Hina, Yuzuha and Emma and Haru would go with his friends too.
I didn't notice anyone else there. I mean, it doesn't seem like their thing anyways. Sanzu's staying home, so is Hanma. He said it was for boring people and it would be lame. Which, I mean, rude much? But Mikey and the rest of Toman didn't feel like going either except for Takemichi, who went with Hina.
So, because of that, I didn't expect to see Baji, Mikey and Izana standing in the corner, simply looking around, seeming a bit bored. I walked up to them, smiling and waving. "Hey! I thought you guys said you weren't going?"
Baji grumbled a bit, pointing towards Mikey, who simply shrugged, "Shinichiro made us." Izana nodded in confirmation, also seeming bored. "Well, at least you're here. We should dance," Mikey suggested. "That's so lame," Izana rolled his eyes. Mikey leaned in, to his ear, talking in an irritated voice, "You didn't mind when you were dancing with Y/N. My best friend." His brother merely shrugged at that, not backing down either. "So? Why's it matter to you?" I didn't hear half the conversation since I was still shocked from what Mikey just said. "How do you know about that?!" He pointed to Izana's phone, "His wallpaper." Baji sighed in annoyance at the conversation.
I also got tired of it and felt glad when Haru grabbed my wrist, leading me away to go dance with him. We danced for quite a bit, and I could feel a pair of eyes on us the whole time. I couldn't see who it was since there was a lot of people in the way. Haru noticed I was distracted and tapped my shoulder. "Eyes on me, please," he said, leaning into my ear so I could hear him over the music. I felt butterflies but looked towards him anyways, smiling.
A slow dancing song came on and everyone went to find their dates. I looked at Haru awkwardly. He didn't match the awkwardness, but instead pulled me in by the waist, swaying us to the music.
I felt it again. I looked over my shoulder, but Haru turned my chin to face him. The lights flared. That's when I realized. Izana, Mikey and Baji aren't here because of prom.
There's something going on. I looked over Haru's shoulder this time. Theres people here who aren't in your normal prom attire. They're in uniforms.I scanned the symbol on the back, my eyes widening as I realize. Rokuhara Tandai. South Terano's gang.
I try to calm myself, looking around more. I catch a glimpse of Inui and Koko walking behind the tables, heading outside. They said they wouldn't be coming. What is this? What's going on?
I pull away from Haru, smiling. "I'll be right back." His expression changed to a grin as he grabbed my wrist, pulling me back. I noticed the watch on his wrist and the symbol on it. Rokuhara Tandai's symbol.
My eyes widen. Haru's part of- So he knew about me the whole time? That whole, volleyball caption who secretly has a crush was all an act? By instinct, I tried kicking his legs out from under him. He blocked it, locking my leg between his. His grip tightened on my wrist, as he pulled out a pocket knife. We're right in the middle of the dance floor, as everyone is slow dancing together. I have to be careful of how to react without making a commotion. I was quick to lift my knee, knocking it out of his hand. He glared at me, pulling me into another dance. "Be careful, Pres. Do you really want everyone here to know you're a part of Toman? Or should I just tell them?"
I furrow my brow, and free my leg from his, digging my heels into his calf. He hissed in pain, his hand traveling down to my foot to unbuckle my heel. It slipped off and he kicked it further into the floor. I still have my other one, but he doesn't need to know that. Haru chuckled, sending shivers down my spine. "C'mon, Dragonfly. I know you can do better. Go all out." Dragonfly is the name I'm commonly known by outside, but hearing it from Haru's mouth makes it sound so strange. I tried pulling away again from his grip, but he locked his arm around me, keeping me still. We continued struggling, the music changing again. I looked around, seeing if I could contact someone but Haru suddenly let go of me.
