I threw my arms around Mikey, and Sanzu walked off somewhere. He clutched my shirt, burying his face in my shoulder.
"Hi, Mikey," I said, quietly. "Sorry," he whispered against my shoulder. "For what?" "Not coming to see you." "It's okay, you probably had a good reason." He pulled away, and helped me stand up, "You should get back to the room."
He helped me walk back inside and we got the room. I got settled in, and he pulled the chair next to the bed as everyone else had also done earlier today. "So, why didn't you come see me?" He shook his head, "Don't worry about it." "I can tell there's something bothering you. You should tell me, so we can fix whatever it is."
He stared at me for a bit, his eyes tearing up. I placed a hand on the side of his face, wiping the tear. "I'm sorry," he choked. "Why?" "Im just not- not a good friend." I scooted over, and motioned for him to sit next to me in the bed. "I don't think so. And I think I should have a say in deciding that since I'm for best friend, even when we were little." He dropped his head onto my shoulder. "Yeah, but what type of best friend hurts the other?" "This wasn't your fault," I assured him. "It was. I was the one who didn't pay attention to everything. You went there trying to stop the fight for us. I was the one who let Kisaki be in Toman in the first place. He wanted to control Dark Impulse. It's all this stupid things fault! And it's part of me, so it's my fault, too! I don't want to deal with it anymore, Y/N. I don't want any more people getting hurt because of me."
"That's not true. It's something that's a part of you, but it doesn't define you. The Mikey I know is pretty cool. Dark Impulse might not be, and I know you don't want to deal with it. But we're all trying our best, aren't we?" He sighed, "Yeah. Can I tell you something?" "Yeah, of course."
"I..like you. Like, I really, really like you. You're the best person I've ever met. And I want us to be more than just best friends. If you don't feel the same, that's fine. I just needed to tell you after this incident happened. Like anytime I feel tired or upset about something, you always make it better. And I really just like being around you. But I feel like having to deal with Dark Impulse wouldn't be good for you. You can find people without problems, who could make sure you're always happy. I don't think I can do that with the Impulse. But I really want you, Y/N. I want you to be my Y/N. I hate it when you hang out with someone else who clearly likes you. You should be with me. I know that sounds mean, but it's just how I feel. I'm done now, you can talk."
I didn't know what to say though, or how to respond. I mean, a part of me has always had a major crush on Mikey. But, he was the leader of Toman after all and I thought he just wouldn't like me. I thought he only considered us strictly friends, so I hid all those feelings. Yet, here we are.
"I've always had a crush on you too, honestly. And everything you said was only from your perspective. In my perspective, you're the best person I could ask for. You realize the problem, and attempt to fix it, which is already a big step. And I don't mind staying with you, no matter what problems you have. I like you, too, Manjiro. And I'd pick you any day over someone like what you described."
He smiled softly, pushing my hair back from my face. "I'm happy to hear that," he laughed, leaning in, placing a hand on the side of my face. He stared at my lips, then back at my eyes, as if asking. I nodded and he placed a soft kiss on my lips, hands holding me closer to him.
I kissed back, and butterflies fluttered in my stomach. We pulled away. After a bit of just silently looking at each other he asked, "Was I your first kiss? You're mine." I shook my head, "No." Might as well be honest, I guess.
He seemed to be a bit upset about that. "No? Then who was?" "Inui. Just yesterday, actually."
He glared at the blanket, then turned back to me. "Well, if I can't be your first kiss, then I'll just be your second, third, fourth, all the way to your millionth kiss."
He kissed me again, but this time, it wasn't just a peck. His tongue swiped against my lips, and I opened them slightly. His tongue searched the inside of my mouth, and he tilted his head, leaning deeper into it.
His hands trailed down from the sides of my face to my waist, holding me tightly. He rubbed circles there, making me feel more lightheaded than before. This kiss made me feel like I was flying. My heart was fluttering, and he put so much passion into it. He pulled away so we could breathe but didn't waste a second to kiss me again. These kisses made me lose my mind, in a good way, because of how he felt.
Like the vibe was just completely different from Inui's. Inui's was a soft, gentle moment. This was much more intense and passionate. I had no time to breathe, since he was kissing so much, I could barely muster the energy to kiss back. I couldn't keep up with this new pace.
His hands trailed up the hem of my loose shirt, and I shivered a bit as his cold fingertips grazed against my waist. He traced patterns, while his kisses went to my jaw and down to my neck. I gasped as he reached a specific spot. My body completely melted at his touch, and the butterflies were going crazy.
His hands slid higher, and his kisses trailed lower. Mikey pulled away then, though. "My bad. I got a bit carried away," he said, trying to catch his breath. I giggled, "It's alright."
I brushed his hair back, and pecked his cheek. "Good night."
* * * * *
I yawned and stretched my arms. As soon as I stretched a bit too much, something pulled me back. I turned to see Mikey, with his arms still tightly clasped around me.
He was still asleep but anytime I moved or turned, he would yank me back towards him. I remember turning at one point, and he put his leg over mine as a cage. But, right now it was time to wake up so, "Mikeyy! We need to wake up noww."
He groaned and buried his face into the crook of my neck, his arms tightening around my waist. "Mikeyy." "Just gimme a minute," he whispered, sleepily.
I brushed through his hair with my fingers, until he was finally ready to wake up. I giggled at his messy hair, and sleepy looking face. "Good morning." "Morning." He got up and stretched, walking over to the curtains to open them.
The nurse walked in. "Good morning! How're you feeling?" "Good," I answered, yawning behind my hand. "Well, that's good to hear," she said, placing a tray down next to me, "The doctor thinks you'll be able to go home today." Mikey turned around, with a bright smile, "Really?!" The nurse laughed, "Yep."
There was a knock on the door and the nurse answered it. A wave of people rushed past her, entering the room.
It was Baji, Chifuyu and Kazu in the first half. Next, Mitsuya, Draken, Emma, and Senju walked in. Hina and Takemitchy came too. Angry and Smiley entered a bit later with food for everybody. Those two and Mitsuya are so good at cooking.
"Hey, Y/N!" "Good morning!" "Guys, hush." Draken walked up to me, "It looks like both you and Mikey are feeling better." I beamed, looking over at Mikey who was play fighting with Kazutora, "Yep."
Takemitchy came up to me next, "Hey. Can I talk to you?"
