I know I told them I wouldn't try to run away again, but was I being for real? No, I wasn't. That next morning while I was sitting there eating breakfast, I was planning on how to run away again. Kakucho seemed to notice.
"What're you thinking about, Y/N?" He asked, sitting down in the chair next to me. "Nothing! Nothing at all." Great job Y/N. Great acting.
He hummed, dropping the subject. "Alright, if you say so. Just to let you know, we've strengthened security all around the estate, and around Rindou's room so if you were to escap-"
I didn't even let him finish his sentence and started running at full speed. He seemed a bit shocked but recovered almost immediately and started running after me. I ran into the living room, and Ran and Koko looked up since they were in there, watching a show. "What's going on?" Koko asked, seeing Kakucho run after me. "She's running, I think!" "You think?" "I don't know anymore! Just help me!" Honestly, the whole situation was kind of funny.
I swerved between the couches in the living room as the three of them ran in each direction, trying to catch me. I barely escaped Ran, but I quickly jumped over the couch, also escaping Koko who was on the other side.
Rindou walked in grumpily, noticing the commotion. He paused in the doorway, taking in the scene in front of him. After a few minutes of just standing there, he joined the chase, as I jumped onto the table and then ran out of the living room. They followed after me, running through each room.
I didn't notice Takeomi and Mochi joining them as well. I ran into a room and locked the door, thinking no one was in there. I sighed in relief. This was really reckless of me, but when Kakucho started telling me all the measures they had taken for security, I just started bolting. I know the longer I stay here, the worse they'll get. So I should just escape as early as possible. Except, I don't have a plan this time. I'm in this room, but like what do I do now? I turned around, looking for a window in the room. It seemed like an office, with paper and documents neatly organized on the desk. There was a chair in front of it, and that whole corner was surrounded by bookshelves.
There was a couch and a coffee table in the opposite corner of the room. There were two windows. One stretched across the middle of the wall, and one was near the couch. I went to the one near the couch, trying to see if I could climb out of it somehow.
"Well, looks like someone's trying to run again."
I froze completely. I thought no one else was in this room. Everyone was in the living room, and are now looking for me. I thought I had locked the door. Who did I forget to count?
I turned to see some familiar scars, next to an even more familiar smirk. Sanzu. This is probably his office. And I just walked right in.
I stiffened, taking steps backwards from him. He took steps forward. The back of my knees hit the coffee table and my back made impact with its cold surface. Sanzu's smirk widened as he leaned over me, his knee between both of mine. One of his hands held my wrists together above my head, and the other went on the back of my head, cushioning it from the fall. I was still taking deep breaths, trying to catch my breath from the chase earlier, but now it seemed harder to breathe evenly.
"Got you," he said quietly. His voice sent shivers down my spine. I could feel my face turning red from the way we were right now.
"What's wrong? You're oddly quiet. Aren't you going to make a snarky comment?" He teased, his knee moving along my legs. I was wearing shorts so I could feel the fabric of his pants against my thigh, as he leaned closer. I shook my head, "No."
He chuckled, "Your face is red. Are you enjoying this?" That made me feel even more flustered. To be honest, yes. I was totally enjoying this, but I can't tell him that. The way he made my heart flutter from simple actions and the way his icy blue eyes stared into mine made me feel butterflies.
We both jumped slightly at the sudden loud knocks on the door. "Sanzu! Y/N ran away again! Come help us find her!" Shouted the voice of Takeomi, from outside the door. "Go away! You're ruining my silent time!" Sanzu shouted back. It went quiet outside the door and I breathed a sigh of relief. Sanzu seemed to have heard it, since he turned back to me, his grip on my wrists loosening a bit. "You're not done yet. I've already found you." He pulled away, getting off of the table. I sat up slightly, still a bit dazed from everything that just happened.
His eyes had softened from his usual glare, and he kneeled in front of me, keeping intense eye contact. He outstretched his arms in my direction. "Come on, darling. We're going back. You're stuck with us." I sighed, contemplating my decision. I could try to run again. Or I could listen to Sanzu and go back.
I looked towards the window, which could be my chance of escaping. Then I looked at Sanzu, kneeling in front of me, his arms open to welcome me back.
I gave in, and walked into them, his arms wrapping around me tightly. I snaked mine around his neck, resting my head on his shoulder. "Good girl. That was the right decision," he smiled, his hand rubbing my back.
"Let's go back now." He stood up, picking me up along with him. His arm stayed around my waist, holding me closer. "Rindou's going to yell at me again," I sighed, hiding my face in his shoulder. He patted my head in a comforting way, "It's alright. I'll make sure he doesn't. If you want you can always come stay in here with me."
I nodded, smiling softly. "Thanks." He opened the door to his office, walking out into the living room. Everyone still seemed to be searching for me in different parts of the house. Sanzu set me down on the couch, as Ran saw us. "You found her?"
That alerted everyone else, and they all ceased their searching. "You got all the running around out of your system now?" Koko asked, crossing his arms. I nodded. I think I've had enough of trying to escape for now.
