Ran and I rushed to get ready. I made him wait so I could shower first and while he showered, I did my makeup and put on the clothes that his mom had picked out.

Ran's parents are in their fifties but they both look so young. His mom has mid length blonde hair that's always perfectly curled. She wears lots of bold makeup, and has a perfume obsession too. She's amazing. His dad has black hair, which is always neatly brushed back, and wears suits daily.

I held up the outfit in front of me to get a better look at it. It was really cute dress with tiny dark green floral prints on it. The sleeves cuffed at the wrist and it included dark green ribbons. It was perfect for a cute little breakfast. She has even picked out matching shoes and accessories. Rans mom has great style. I brushed out my hair, and fixed it up as Ran left the bathroom.

He was wearing a dark green sweater with some baggy jeans. He didn't look so happy about it, but I thought it looked cute. I wasn't gonna tell him that though. His hair was down, and still not dry yet.

I ran around the room, making sure I had everything as he blow dried his hair and started braiding it.

As I put my phone into my purse I heard a smack.

I turned to see that Ran had angrily smacked his hairbrush against the counter, and was glaring at his reflection. "What's wrong?" I inquired at his sudden outburst. "My braids aren't even!" He groaned, throwing his head back and sighing.

"Ran, we don't have time for that, we have to go." "They need to be even, Y/N! I don't like it like this," he complained.

I rolled my eyes, and grabbed the hair tie from the counter. "Here." I parted his hair, and started braiding the left side. It matched perfectly with the right. "Is that better?" He gasped at the mirror. "Yes. Yes, it is! Thank you, Y/N." I shook my head, and dragged him out the room.

"I know. We need to hurry, though, Rindou's already waiting for us in the car." "Right." I stormed down the halls, and paused my stride as we entered the elevator.

There was a group of three friends in there, laughing and joking around with each other. Ran pressed the ground floor button and the door closed. I tried to hide my smile at one of the jokes the friend group had made. One of the girls made eye contact with me. I smiled at her, and she smiled back.

"You guys are so cute," she complimented, motioning to me and Ran.

We both froze and stared at each other. I mean, we're pretending to be a couple anyways, so. "Thanks," we both said in unison, then glanced at each other again. It was really obvious since his mom had put us in matching clothes.

That was another habit I'd noticed with the Haitani's. They love matching things. His parents outfits are always matching. When we were dating, Ran would get me things that'd match with him.

We left the elevator and I did a little jog towards the car, and got in. Rindou was sitting up front with the driver. Ran got in from the other side. "Where were you guys? I've been waiting for so long now." "Sorry, Rin." "Your brother threw a fit over his braids not being even." Rindou scoffed.

No one talked much the entire way there, but when we got stuck in traffic for a bit the silence would get really awkward. We arrived at the restaurant and a guy dressed formally opened my door, and helped me up. He escorted me towards the front door, until Ran hooked his arm through mine. "You ready?" I nodded, "Sure." Rindou was walking behind us but I could tell he rolled his eyes. "You guys are too much." We entered the cafe part of the restaurant and caught a glimpse of his parents at the table.

We headed that way, and greeted them. "Good morning you guys! You all look lovely!" Mrs. Haitani gushed. "Good morning. Thanks." "Good morning." "Morning." Mrs. Haitani shot an angry look at Rindou for not saying it properly.
