"Ran, are you serious right now! First of all, why would you ask your ex this? You could find some other girl! And second of all, right now, really? During a fight? Shouldn't you be out there helping Roppongi win? Not that I want you guys too." He laughed, leaning back on his hands, his hair swaying back. "Well, to answer the first part, i'll need to be a bit serious."
"That's hard for you to do," I rolled my eyes. "Y/N, the answer is that your just..You're just you, y'know? Like...I really don't want to say this, but I couldn't see myself dating anyone else just yet, since we just recently broke up. And, let me tell you something. Promise you won't tell Rin." He held out his pinky to me. I pinky promised him.
"I only called this fight, so that I could talk to you about this." "Ran Haitani!" I shouted, hitting him across the chest. He grabbed my wrist, laughing, "Hey, listen, now. It's an emergency. Our parents are normally living their life in Kyoto and don't worry about us. They'll call us every so often, but do their own thing most of the time. But they suddenly decided to go on a trip, and the last time we talked I was dating you, right?" I nodded.
"And when they met you the first time, they were so happy. Like they loved you. They said you were perfect for the family and all that stuff, so they raised my pocket money, so I could spoil you more. But then we broke up. And now them two are in Miami and they're wanting Rindou and I to go over there and have vacation with them. But the thing is, they want me to bring you too. And if they find out we're not together anymore, they'll reduce my pocket money again. You just have to do it for a week. We'll be back by then. And you have that week off of school for break, so it all works out."
I rolled my eyes, "That's all cool, but how does if affect me? It sounds like a you problem, honestly."
I went to get up, but Ran caught me again. "What if I gave you half of my pocket money?" I considered it. "Could you really?" "They increased it by four times of what it originally was, Y/N. I can't give that up over one week." I took a deep breath. "I mean, you'll have to tell them eventually, why not tell them now?"
"I-I just need to tell them in person. I'll tell them once the week in Miami is over, I promise. You just need to go along with it for a bit." I thought about it. Since he's out here causing all this trouble just to ask me this, he must really be serious. And I really don't have anything to do over break, so it should be fine. "But again, why me? You can just hire someone who looks like me or something?" He sighed, staring at the grass. "See, they won't have the same personality and stuff. And how about this? I won't bother you again after this, alright? Sorry for sending you all those flowers and gifts and stuff over and over again; I won't do that anymore. And I'll stop texting you. And causing problems for Toman. It's just seven days. You'll have most the time there by yourself, too. You just need to pretend when my parents are there." I hummed in thought. "Okay, fine I'll do it."
He smiled, "Thanks, Y/N. You're really saving me." "I know," I grinned smugly. "But you better keep all those promises, Ran." He nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, of course." He stood up, holding a hand out to me. "Shall we go, my lady?" I took it, standing up. As soon as I did, I tumbled to the side.
Ran caught me before I hit the ground, and threw my legs over his other arm. "Oh! I forgot about your ankle." He carried me back towards the field, and set me down near the light pole where I originally was. Mikey glanced over, and breathed a sigh of relief, seeing that I was back there again.
The fight was still raging. A little less than before, though, since some people had been knocked out.
"We haven't been out on the field together in a while have we? Why don't we go join the fun?" I rolled my eyes at him, "I can't because someone hit my ankle."
He bent down, pulling out his baton and ripped off a piece of cloth, tying it around my ankle. "This should work, don't you think?" "How would that possibly-" I moved my leg, and it didn't hurt much. I kicked my ankle back and forth, smile slowly widening. "I think this'll work." "Then let's go, shall we?" I laughed jogging into the fight as Ran followed, hands in pockets, smiling at enthusiasm.
I gave it my all during that fight, since I haven't been out here in a while. I'll admit, it was super freeing to be soaring in the air again, doing flips and kicks, knocking out multiple people. I haven't fought like this in so long. Many people would stop their fights and look up to see what was going on. I lost count of how many i'd hit.
"There's something gold flying around." "Is that a person?" "Wait, isn't that the Dragonfly?" "Tch, I didn't know they brought the annoying fly." "Woah.." "Is that a Toman member or Roppongi member?" "Yeahhh! We're gonna win now!"
We won pretty quickly after that. I landed on the ground for the first time during the whole fight, after the field had cleared and sighed happily. I must have landed a little too hard though cuz my ankle twisted again and I fell back.
Ran's baton must've fallen out. "Y/N!" Mikey rushed to me at the same time Ran did.
They both paused, staring each other down. Mikey took another step towards me and Ran decided to turn away. "You okay? I told you not to fight unless you had too." "Well, I had too." "You should've stood farther from the field then." Baji walked up to Mikey, who had kneeled down in front of me. "Cmon now Mikey. She wiped out half the field in that time. We should kind of be glad," Baji grinned, starting our handshake we do after we win fights.
Mikey's eyes landed on someone behind me who I couldn't see, and his small smile dropped into a glare.
As I turned to see who was there, he turned my face back to him. "That was really cool, not gonna lie. You still can't beat me though," he stuck his tongue out to me, standing up. I rolled my eyes, "I bet I can."
I went to stand up, and stumbled back a bit, bumping into Ran. He caught me by the waist and steadied me back on my feet. Mikey was glaring again. "I'm really sorry about your ankle. I was trying my best to hit lightly. I didn't mean to-" "It's okay. We should go now," answered Mikey, crossing his arms. "I was asking Y/N, not you."
"Okay, guys! It's okay, I'm fine. I'm pretty sure everyone's tired so we should all go home now!" Ran walked away, towards where Rindou was standing, watching the whole interaction. Mikey led me to where we had parked our bikes.

I was exhausted when I reached my house. Mikey, Baji, Draken, Mitsuya, Smiley, Angry, and Emma had come over for a bit before going back to their houses.
We were all hanging out in my room. Mitsuya was bandaging my ankle while Mikey was telling me about his fight with Rindou. Draken and Emma were playing a video game together on my console. Angry was leaning against the bed, playing on his phone while Baji and Smiley were washing up in the bathroom. I giggled as Mikey complained about Rindou's strange limbs. Mitsuya finished wrapping it and put up the bandages, joining in on the conversation.
Everyone fell silent when the doorbell rang. My parents were asleep so one of us would have to go answer it. "Not it!" We all shouted, placing our fingers on our noses.
Angry was last to follow. He groaned, heading towards the door to see who it was. He came back a while later with a basket. "Someone left this for you at the door."
He set it down on the bed, and everyone gathered around to see what it was. It was a cute gift basket, decorated in multiple things of my favorite color. It was tied with a ribbon.
The inside contained snacks, my favorite candies, little gift boxes, a teddy bear, and my favorite flowers.
"There's a note too," Draken noticed. I picked it up, opening it. "Can I open these?" Asked Mitsuya. I nodded, as him, Baji and Emma started seeing what was in them.
"Oh my gosh! This is such a pretty necklace." "This one has rings in it." "This one too." "How many are in there?" "I'm taking some of the snacks." "This candle smells so strange." "That's a nice watch." "Bro, there's so many flowers in here too." "Y/N, I think this person has a crush on you." I giggled at their comments, opening the note.
To: Y/N Im really sorry about your ankle. Id like to be there right now, but I can't, so I sent this. Id like to meet up with you soon about the Miami trip, but I've been really busy. My next free day would be the day we have to go there. So I guess I'll see you at the airport. Thanks a lot! You're amazing! :)
