It was currently the day after the whole dinner situation. I still had Inui's sweatshirt. And I was wearing it. I hadn't seen him today so I couldn't give it back. And on the way home it got a bit cold so I put it on. It's too comfortable not too wear it. I'll just give it back tomorrow. The clock on the refrigerator door to the right read "5:57".
I was at the convenience store right now, since I wanted to pick up some snacks and stuff. But, I didn't really feel like it once I got there so I just grabbed a wrapped strawberry jelly sandwich and headed out after paying.
It really started to feel like it'll be autumn soon. The air had started getting a bit more cold and crisp, and rainy days were usual. It looked like it was going to rain soon. Or maybe a storm. The clouds were dark grey and rumbled every now and then. There was no wind, but you could hear it's howling and see random leaves swirling around. I walked on the sidewalk, with my sandwich in my pockets and my headphones on, listening to one of my seventy different playlists.
Random kids from my neighborhood sped by on their bikes, waving to me. I approached the small playground that was near my house. While passing by, I realized I hadn't been there in ages, so I walked through the gate and to the swings.
The thunder rumbled once again, as I started to kick my feet forward and swing. I hadn't noticed the only other person there until they walked up and sat next to me on the swing set. It was the guy from the bakery earlier. The one I gave my strawberry cake pops to. His eyes were covered by his white hair and his earring swung as he did.
We both sat there in silence for a bit and I stopped swinging and pulled out my sandwich. I held out half of it to him.
"What's this for? You don't have anything to apologize for this time," He questioned. I shrugged, "I just feel like it." He took the half and stared at it for a minute, noticing the flavor of it. "You seem to like strawberry flavored things a lot." I nodded, taking a bite out of mine. "I don't like strawberries themselves. Just the flavored things."
"You sound just like her." He said, quietly. "Her? Oh, the girl you were talking about last time? Y'know, you seem kind of familiar to me too." He kicked his foot into the dirt, stopping his swing. "Can I ask you why you like strawberry flavored things?"
I hummed in thought, "I don't remember much, but when I was little I had a friend who I would hang out with on these same exact swings all the time. We were eating strawberries together once, and I didn't like them but they were his favorite fruit so he got kinda mad. But he was like so stubborn, okay? Like he literally went and brought me some strawberry pop tarts, which I loved so much. Then, most every week after that he would bring me things with strawberries in them, so we could both like something together, and now it's just kind of a habit. They're like comfort foods, y'know? I haven't gotten to see him in years. I don't know where he went. He might've moved. We were both super little so I don't remember what he looked like. He did seem kinda like you, though. And guess what!? That fool never even told me his name!"
He seemed to have relaxed a lot after I told the story. I finished the rest of my sandwich and crumpled the wrapper in my hand. The clouds rumbled and moved towards us a bit more. "It's about to rain," I announced. He nodded humming, and got up, walking towards my side of the swings set. He stopped in front of me and held out his hand.
I shook it. "My names Izana Kurokawa."
He bent down a bit, placing a hand on the back of my head, and pulling me closer. He placed a gentle kiss on my forehead, and walked away without another word. I watched him but didn't say anything. I was too shocked to. My forehead still tingled from his kiss. I reached my hand up to feel it. Another rumble of thunder brought me back out of my thoughts.

Age 7
I skipped down the sidewalks filled with snow, headed towards the playground. There was a lot of kids there building snowmen and lying in the snow making snow angles. There was also kids having snowball fights and building forts. Winter is fun sometimes.
I rushed to the swings since there was no one there, but got hit in the face with a snowball.
"Hey! You okay?" Shouted a voice. I looked up to see a boy with purple eyes and hair that matched the snow. I nodded. "Yeah. Who were you throwing that at? It was really violent." "Oh, sorry. I was throwing it at my brother Mikey over there. I don't know where he went though." I turned but couldn't find the person he was talking about either. "Do you need an ice pack?" I shook my head. "Then come with me," he said, holding out his gloved hand.
I took it and he pulled me up leading me to a guy sitting on the bench. "This is my grandpa. Grandpa, uh, this is.." "Y/N." "It's Y/N. Can I have some strawberries?"
His grandpa chuckled, "Nice to meet you Y/N. Here you go." The boy turned back to me and put the strawberries into my hand. "It's a formal apology for the snowball," he smiled. "Why does your grandpa have a whole box of strawberries randomly?"
I asked him as we both sat next to each other on the swings. "Because I really like them. They're my favorite thing ever!" "Really? I don't really like them." "Huh!? No way! How?" I shrugged, "I just don't." He shook his head, "That's not possible. Everyone likes strawberries! Y'know what?" He grabbed the berries from my hand and ran towards the gate, yelling, "I'll be right back! Wait there!"
I waited for a bit on the swings and a few minutes later he came back with a pop tart. He handed it to me, "Have you tried the strawberry ones?" I shook my head, "I only get the cinnamon ones since I thought I wouldn't like it." "Well, you should try it," he smiled. I unwrapped it and took a bite. "It's good. It's actually good." "See? Everyone likes strawberries." He laughed, taking the swing again.
"So, what do you like?" I hummed in question. "I like music! I listen to songs everyday!" "Really? What's your favorite." I rambled to him about my favorite songs for a while and promised him I'd bring my earbuds next time for us to listen to them together.
From then on, every week or so, we'd get together in the playground on the swings and listen to music while eating strawberry desserts that he had made himself.
Oh my gosh. It was him. He's Izana.
