"Do you remember something called Toman?" Their boss asked. "Uhhh..it rings a bell." I answered. He sighed, staring at me intensely. "Could you guys step out for a bit?" He asked his executives.
Some of them shared glances, and Rindou lingered in the room for a little bit before following everyone outside. I honestly wanted them to stay since there's a gun right on the coffee table in front of him. He moved over a bit and motioned next to him, "Sit."
I hesitated, "Y'know what? I'll just sit here," I nervously giggled, sitting on a different couch.
He slumped, relaxing a bit. "My names Mikey. Manjiro Sano. Do you not recognize me?" I looked at him in confusion, "No? Am I supposed to?" He shrugged, "I guess not. I wouldn't know you either, but you started showing up in my dream." "In your dream?" I asked, surprised. I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this.
"Yeah. It's the same dream over and over. It feels more like a vision though. Like it's not a dream. It's as if I'm watching myself live a different life. A good, normal, happy life. And you're a big part in it. I see your face exactly laughing and talking to me and everything. It just drove me crazy since the part with you in it would repeat so much. Maybe our dreams are intertwined together somehow," he explained. "Intertwined? That's an idea. But I haven't gotten any dreams about you, except you do seem really familiar somehow. Maybe I've met you before, I don't know." Mikey sighed, leaning his hands behind his head, "I just thought if I met you I could figure out why I'm getting those dreams."
I laughed and got up, saying in an overly cheery tone, "Well, we haven't figured it out, so it's time for me to go, I guess. Nice to meet you, see you later!" "Sit back down." I sat back down.
Normally, I'd be like 'uh, no. who are you to tell me what to do?' but right now Im talking to the leader of Japan's top criminal organization so I kind of have to be careful.
"Something about you is different-" "Not this again!" I groaned. I didn't mean to say it out loud, but I guess I did. "Again?" He questioned.
"Yeah. Some of your executives told me that too." Though his face is normally pretty emotionless, Mikey still seemed slightly surprised, "Did they now? Have they been nice to you?" "Well, yeah, most of the time," I thought back to Rindous tantrums. "That's good to hear," he nodded, mostly to himself. "Then they must've told you about how it feels," he added. I shook my head, "No, they didn't."
"Then I guess I will. It feels nostalgic in a way. Like I know you and we're super close. Like I'm comfortable with you since I've known you for so long. As if we're like best friends or maybe more. Obviously you don't feel it so this probably sounds weird to you, but it's a very strong feeling." I hummed, "That is really weird. It's weird how all of you feel it too." He nodded, then sighed, holding his arm out, "Come here." I did and settled into the couch next to him.
"This is weird but I feel comforted by you. Like I normally can't even sleep, unless I get the dreams with you in them. Then I sleep comfortably throughout the entire night. But it's just- I don't know. You should help me." "Help you? With?" He laid a cushion in my lap and rested his head on it. "Let me sleep. I'm tired," he whispered, curling up.
I was taken aback at his sudden action but ran my fingers through his hair, accepting to help. This is the leader of Bonten, taking a nap in my lap right now. A week ago I'd be so confused and baffled about this but honestly, after staying with the executives nothings weird anymore.
And he somehow fell asleep instantly. How's he trust me so easily? Oh well. He looked like he needed a nice long and restful eight hours of sleep, maybe more. I felt like comforting him even though I've literally never met him before. I brushed my fingers through his hair, and eventually I fell asleep too from the tiredness of running around.

"How long do we have to wait?" Rindou snarked, as Sanzu impatiently walked back and forth, his hands nervously linked together. "Be patient," Takeomi sighed, leaning against the wall.
Kakucho was sitting on the couch in the lobby, anxiously fidgeting with his phone case. Ran sat next to him, bouncing his leg.
Koko would randomly take deep breaths and distract himself by taking calls and walking. As a few hours passed, the executives started getting even more nervous.
Is Y/N okay? Is the boss mad at her? Should they check? For a few minutes none of them moved around or said anything. It was completely still and silent.
"Y'know what, I'm going to check anyways!" Ran declared, charging towards the door. Takeomi held him back, pulling him away from the door. "Are you kidding? What if the boss gets upset?"
"But what if Y/N-" "Don't worry about it. I'm sure we would've heard a shot or something." Takeomi assured him, his words having the opposite affect on everybody than what was intended.
Rindou groaned, dropping his head into his hands. "I say we all pick someone to go check," Mochi suggested. "I'll go," most of them offered.
They all turned to each other, staring. "I said it first!" "No I did!" "Not if I get there first!" "Uh- Get back here!" "I'm going first!"
They all eventually decided to send Ran and Kakucho, who walked into the strange scene. "They're taking a nap?" "What was the point of bringing her here?" Ran shrugged, "Well I mean, boss never sleeps so if this helps, then I guess it makes sense." Kakucho hummed in agreement and the two left.

Somewhere Else
"So, what do you think about this situation now?" Asked the police chief to someone who looked as if they were ordinary.
This guy was in fact not ordinary at all, but actually the key to solving everything so far. "Yep. One more shake?" "Bet."
The two shook hands, crossing between the intertwined time lines once again.
