⚠️TW: violence

Honestly, I started feeling much better. Kakucho opened the window for fresh air, and yeah at first I was gonna try to run, but he stayed in the room, working on something on a laptop, so it made it a bit difficult.

He was on the couch, while I curled up in Rindou's gaming chair. "Uh, Mr. Kakuch-" "You can just call me Kakucho." "Okay. Where is your boss anyways?" He glanced at me, then went back to looking at the screen, "He's on a trip." "A trip where?" "I can't tell you." "Why not?" He shrugged, "We're not allowed to share plans with anyone other than executives, even if they work for Bonten."

"Well, you're Bonten's number three right? Why are you here, then? Same with Sanzu. If he's second, shouldn't you guys have more important things to do?" I questioned.

It was bothering me a bit as to why they chose to watch over me. I mean, they're ranked the highest in the country, so I expected them to have a lot of work to do. "Well, our boss stressed that this was a highly important mission. We didn't know at first, he only told us to bring you here, but then later he said to be nice to you. Which is still a work in progress, as you can tell by Rindou's attitude, but everyone else is following it. And he said to have this as our top priority right now, so really, no, we don't more important things to do. Honestly, I don't mind. It's like having a break. We don't have to deal with our usual running around and dealings and missions and what not."

"Then, should I be more annoying?" I hummed in question. "I don't think that's necessary," he sighed.

"Well, you did say watching me is your most important job right now. So, I should live up to what you consider a normal mission," I reasoned. "I think you running away was enough trouble already. Trust me, we're okay if you don't cause anything else."

I tilted my head in confusion, "So, I know your boss said to be nice and stuff, but still since you guys are, like, Bonten- you know, you're kind of famous for being evil and everything- you guys are a lot nicer than what I expected. Like, I'd see you guys on the news and I never expected you guys to be so..calm? Like, I thought you'd be more violent, and mean."

I know I'm probably annoying Kakucho right now, but that's kind of the plan. If I make him get fed up with me, maybe he'll leave and I can escape. It's not a solid idea, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

"Well, that's just how everyone views criminals. We all have our reasons for following the boss, y'know. We're not all exactly crazy and mean, we just have goals that we'd do anything to achieve," he answered. Surprisingly, he's being patient and answering my questions seriously. I decided to bother him more. "Interesting. So haven't you thought of other career paths? Like, is this really the only way?"

He chuckled a bit, "You're quite interesting too. Trying to change our morals or something?" I shook my head, "Not really. Just confused. I don't really understand all this Bonten stuff." "Well, unless you're planning on joining anytime soon, you don't have to worry about it."

"So, who's your favorite executive?" "I only serve the boss," he answered. "Yeah, but-" Suddenly, he set the laptop aside, and firmly placed his hands on the armrests of the chair, caging me. "I know what you're trying to do. These games won't work on me." "What games? I'm literally just asking questions. I'm bored in here," I said, playing along a bit more.

He gave me a stare and I immediately cracked. "Fine. I've been caught," I dramatically sighed, throwing my hands up. He smiled a bit, straightening up.

"But, one more question. This has to be the most fun mission you've ever done right? I'm a pretty fun person to hang out with," I joked. "It's definitely the most entertaining. Running around trying to catch you, learning how to cook things, and hearing your rants is a lot better than what we're used to."
