TW: blood, violence
I stepped back a bit, grabbing onto my side. Kaku finished his fight, meaning that Taiju had been defeated. Kisaki pulled out the knife and started taking steps back as Kaku walked over to us. I couldn't really run after Kisaki right now.
"Y/N what's..." His eyes widened as he saw the knife, and me clutching my side, putting two and two together. His heart dropped at the realization and he ran towards me.
Kisaki turned on his heel and sprinted, knowing I couldn't do anything to stop him and Kakucho was more concerned with me right now. How lame of him to run away after all that. He couldn't even face me himself, and had to use his tricks.
"Are you okay!? We need to get you to a hospital before you lose a lot of-" "Kakucho, turn around." I said through gritted teeth. "W-what?" He did, to see the groups of delinquents we saw earlier. He quickly turned back to me, and urgently whispered, "You need to go. You see that building over there? Go behind there, and wait for me, okay? I'll be right back after dealing with these guys." "I can help yo-" "Y/N. Go. Now." I nodded, stumbling towards there.
It started raining a bit. A few of the Tenjiku members from before blocked my way. Kakucho handled them, unblocking my way again. I rushed to get out of there, knowing I'd only get in his way if I stayed there any longer.
Except, I couldn't move too much. The pain was starting to get to me as the adrenaline from the fight left my body. My head was feeling dizzy from the injury on my head earlier. I reached the back of the building, and collapsed onto the ground, holding my side as tight as I could. My hands were drenched in the warm sticky blood. I pushed my hair away from my face, taking deep breaths, trying to regain my stamina.
"There she is!" Shouted a voice. A group of delinquents headed over. They must have followed my path. And here I thought I'd get to rest here. I pulled myself up, ready to fight. My hands and legs were shaking, and the pain was immeasurable. My vision kept getting blurry and I would blink it away, but the stinging would bring it back. The rain was now pouring, and my hair and clothes were drenched. I won't back down from this though.
But before I could do anything, two rushes of color swept past, and before I knew it, the group had lost the fight. "Well. These punks didn't put up much of fight," Koko commented. Inui nodded his head in agreement.
"You guys?" "Oh, hey Y/N. We were passing by and saw these guys walk back here. It was suspicious so we decided to investigate it. I'm surprised to see you here th-" He noticed my hands, and the blood stain on the clothes. Koko let out a small gasp, and Inui's eyes widened as he rushed over.
"Sit down. Don't move so much. How long have you been bleeding?" He interrogated. "Not too long. Kisaki stabbed me." Koko scoffed, "Of course it was him. We need to get her something to tie around it, so it stops the bleeding for a bit," He said. Koko sat down next to me.
My head was throbbing at this point, and the wound hurt so bad, I could barely think. He put his arms around me, pulling me into his chest. Inui kneeled in front me and removed his jacket. He wasn't wearing a shirt underneath. His abs looked- Y/N, stop. This is not the right time.
"This might hurt, so just hang on, okay?" Inui nodded, "I'll tie it really quickly. It might ache for a while, but you need it or this could get really bad." I just hummed in response. I didn't really care right now, I just wanted to sleep.
Inui wrapped his jacket around my side loosely at first then asked, "Ready?" I nodded, and Koko tightened his arms around me. I yelled as the fabric made contact with the injury. Inui hesitated, but continued tying it. Tears were rolling down my face, as I clung onto Koko, screaming as the pain spiked through my entire body. Kokos brow furrowed, and he hid his face in my wet hair. "Almost done," he whispered to me. The pour of the rain muffled it mostly.
Inui let go and everyone collectively breathed a sigh of relief, as my voice lowered into deep breaths. It stayed like that for a bit until we heard commotion around the front of the building. "Where is she?!" "Don't let her get away this time!" "Let's check the back." Inui and Koko exchanged glances.
"I'll go," Koko declared, standing up. Inui shook his head, "No, you stay here with her. I'll go." "You stay here," Koko said firmly. Before Inui could argue, Koko dashed off to deal with the guys on the other side of the building. I huffed, "Neither of you guys want to stay with me?" Inui stared at the ground. "It's not that. It's just neither of us can handle seeing you in pain, especially when this is all we can do to help you. After Kokos done over there, we'll take you to the hospital. Until then, we'll be here." I hummed in answer.
I couldn't speak much, my mind was fuzzy. My clothes felt so weird against the wound since they were drenched from the rain. And it ached so badly to move even slightly. Tears were still rolling down my face, since it even hurt to breath, because of how tightly it was tied.
Oh, and Inui's still shirtless. Anyways. My vision kept blurring and my head was spinning. I felt horrible. I also have to wait for Kakucho. I hope he's okay. My eyelids started to get heavy and rested them for a bit.
I was jolted awake, though when Inui pulled me into a hug from the side. The warmth of his skin comforted me a bit from the chill of the rainy weather, and for a split second I forgot about the stinging.
"Don't close your eyes. Please." Hearing him say that was an impactful event in my dictionary. Normally we treat each other rudely, and act as if we don't care about each other. But seeing him here, gently holding me, being caring with his words, and so desperately wishing for me to feel better changed the way I viewed him entirely.
He pulled me even closer, into his lap. I dropped my head onto his chest, and he placed a hand there. "Breathe." He whispered.
I inhaled, a sharp pain shooting through my chest. I exclaimed, sending Inui into a frenzy. "Woah, woah. Take it easy." He inspected the injury.
"I think we need to take you to the hospital right now. Koko can come later." I shook my head, "Kakucho." "Kakucho? You're waiting for him?" I nodded in response. "He'll understand. We just-" I gripped onto his arm, tightly. "Okay, we'll wait. Only for a little bit though."
My eyelids started feeling heavy again. "Y/N." I hummed in question, looking up at him. He wiped the tears from my face, mixed with the raindrops. His eyes looked greener than before. His hair, now drenched from the rain fell onto my face as he leaned closer.
I reached up, brushing my thumb across his scar, which made his eyes soften. He's so pretty. Like, he's seriously beautiful. My heartbeat pounded in my chest.
I'm not sure how it happened, but as I continued studying his eyes, our lips met.
He leaned into the kiss, and I put my hand around his neck. He was careful not to touch the wound. The kiss was gentle, like a water droplet falling onto a flower petal.
Everything felt soft and warm and fuzzy and comforting. I leaned into the warmth emitting from him, and he pulled me even closer. My heart soared. Our faces were wet from the rain, and clothes were too, but in that moment I felt nothing but him. We pulled away after a bit and he leaned his forehead against mine, with a gentle smile.
The closeness, the warmth, and the comfort all put me to sleep, as I snuggled into Inui's side.
