"What're you staring at?" He snarked. "What're you doing?" I asked, backing away slowly. "What does it look like? I'm cutting an apple." "With that sword looking thing?!" "It's a katana. And if you don't stop bothe-" "I understand," I rushed, speed walking out of the kitchen.
Before climbing the stairs, I looked back, towards the kitchen to see if Sanzu wasn't following me. Except, since I wasn't looking where I was going, I ran into somebody. I expected it to be Rindou, and waited to get scolded, but actually, it was the one they called Kakucho. This is my first time meeting Bonten's number three.
"Oh, s-sorry." I can't believe I ran into him. "You're good. Be careful, now." He has pretty eyes. They're different colors. And his scar makes them look even more majestic.
Honestly, I expected him to look a little more...scary. But this guy is just hot.
"Are you Y/N? I don't believe I've met you yet." He said. He has a nice voice too. "Yeah. And, you're Kakucho, right?" "Yep." He stared at me silently for a bit and I gave him a questioning look after the eye contact got a bit too long. "Oh, my bad. It's just-you're different than what I expected. In a good way, I mean. It's a compliment." "..Well, then, thank you." He chuckled a bit, "Alright, then. See you, Y/N." "Bye!"
I rushed up the stairs. It was late at night now, and most everyone was asleep. Except, the light was still on in Koko's room. I knocked on the door to Rindou's room since everyone had made a silent agreement that I'd be staying there. I heard a faint 'come in' and walked in. Rindou was on the couch, working on something on his laptop. "I was just about to come get you. You should sleep now, it's a bit late." I nodded.
I did start feeling a bit sleepy. But this was my first actual night here, and it's going to be really awkward. "So.." "I'll sleep on the couch," he answered before I even finished my sentence. "Okay.." The lights were turned off and I got into bed. Y'know what this means? It'll be easier for me to sneak away.
I know I said I would just face their decision next week, but I can't just stay here normally. I need to do something, at least give a bit of effort. So, when I was outside with Koko, I mapped the way from Rindous room. So, if I climb out the window, it would lead me downstairs. And they have a balcony that I can safely climb down from too. It works perfectly. I waited until late into the night, until Rindou decided to go to sleep too.
He noticed I was awake. "Can you not sleep?" He questioned. "No," I replied, staring at the ceiling, pulling the comforter closer. "I figured it would take you a while to get used to. If it helps you, I'll go sleep outside on the couch." He offered, getting up. I let him, because that would mean that I could leave without having to worry about waking him up.
Also, he's not showing attitude right now. After he left, and it had been about twenty minutes, I got up and slowly creeped towards the window. Luckily, I was able to open it, and stepped out into the balcony.
There was a bodyguard standing there. Whoops. I slid it shut quickly.
Y'know what? Maybe I can knock him out. But what if he notifies the others first? I'll just have to be faster, I guess.
I climbed out the window and he turned when he heard my foot landing onto the balcony. Nows the time. I twirled, and lifted my leg, landing a harsh kick on the side of his head. Yep, he had no reaction time. I breathed, and ran down the stairs. If this is their main estate, it must be heavily guarded. I mean, these guys are top of the charts in this category. Even if I knew all this, I was too focused on just getting out, that I hadn't thought of taking the other guards weapon or anything.
The stairs from the balcony led onto the back patio which overlooked the garden, that stretched for miles. Of course, it was crawling with guards. There was about two on the patio, too. But they were facing the garden. Maybe, I could sneak towards the front and leave from the sides or something.
