Festival

The busy week of running around, discussing, paperwork, and decorating was over and it was now the day of the festival.

The sun shone brightly, and the skies were clear. There were new students here who were deciding whether or not they want to go to the school next year. There was kids from other schools comparing the festivals of each. I saw my friends too, some who were working at their classes' booth. Id have to tour the new kids around first, then I could go and join them.

I showed the new ones around, and they seemed pretty happy. They all liked the place and wanted to go next year. Well, my job here is done. It was a pretty quick tour but I tried to add more details to it. I led them back to main entrance where all the booths and sections filled with the activities each class and club was putting on were. "Alright guys, that's all! You can go enjoy the things our students have organized. Have fun!" I exclaimed, putting on my extra cheery persona. They all waved to me, heading off somewhere with their friends.

I looked around to find my friends, but I couldn't find them. Maybe they went to see the play in the gym. Or one of the indoor activities. I decided to walk around, making sure everyone was doing good.

Class 2's cafe was amazing. Sure, they tried to paint an entire school wall at one point and even bulldoze it, but they seemed to have really put in effort. It was one of the most popular sections, and it was by the pool, so the swim team dressed up as mermaids to make it more interesting. It was actually really pretty.

The play was also pretty popular, considering everyone was talking about it, and which character they wanted to play volleyball with after the play. I was glad our idea of merging it worked out.

As I left the art club's booth after admiring their work and helping them organize things, the tennis team saw me. "Hey, Pres! Come over here!" They seemed to have collaborated with the baseball team to do theirs. "What's up?" I ask, walking towards them. Inui was also there. We made eye contact and I quickly looked away.

"Can you test out our thing before we have people do it?" One of the girls asked. I shrugged, "Yeah, sure. What is it?" "We planned a little couples challenge. And after it, we give them a compatibility score," they explained. I nodded, humming, "That's a good idea. But how am I supposed to test it out?"

One of the baseball guys looked around, scanning the area. His eyes landed on Inui. He pushed him towards me. "You and Inui can try it." Both of us blushed a bit. "Well isn't this for couples?" I laughed nervously.

"Yeah, but this is just the try out," the guy answered. "I guess you're right," I shrugged, looking up at Inui. His green eyes looked back. "Why? Do you not want to be paired with me?" He asked, his blonde hair glinting in the sun. He's literally so gorgeous. I shook my head, "No, I do. I was just confused." He smiled softly, offering me his hand. "Then let's go." I took it and he led me over to the table.

They had decorated it with a light red tablecloth that had a heart pattern on it. There was a background behind it, with many valentine associated things on it. There were two chairs, sitting at opposite ends of the table. Inui and I sat in them, facing each other and waiting for their instructions. One of the tennis players angrily whispered, "Come on, they're waiting!" "Gimme a minute!" The baseball guy whispered back, pulling on a costume on top of his school clothes. He pulled on a hat on top and cleared his throat. I laughed at his rushed attempt to get ready.

"Hello! I'll be your matchmaker today. I have a series of challenges for you and I'd like to see how well you two do in them. First one, outfit matching! We have borrowed some clothes from the sewing clubs projects. Can you two make an outfit that would suit your partner without asking them anything or looking at them? And under five minutes!? You go first!" He exclaimed, pointing at Inui.
