I'm starting to panic a bit now. Everyone's walking over to their friends, and i'm still sitting here. I mean he's still sitting there too. Should I go up to him? But like, he hasn't come up to me yet either. And I don't even know him. Except for gang stuff. And his brother. But we don't talk about him. But I can't sit here the entire time. He's probably not coming to me because he doesn't care. I need to care. What do I do?

As if on cue, his eyes met mine. I looked away immediately to make it seem like I wasn't staring. I was totally staring.

It'd be so awkward, though. Like our gangs don't really have any relation to each other. And he probably won't recognize me either. "Hey Pres, im gonna work with you," said a girl, pulling up a chair. I breathed a sigh of relief and started thanking the skies. Before she could sit down in the chair, someone pulled it out from beneath her. "No, she's already working with me," said the voice of the one and only, Rindou Haitani.

"I got here first, fool, you go find someone else," she retorted. He had already settled himself in the chair he took from her and pulled it up to my desk.

"Okay, so what're we supposed to be doing?"

The other girl rolled her eyes, walking away. "Ugh fine, but i'm working with Pres next time." I giggled a little. "Uh, we just have to do this worksheet and the other person checks it," I explained. I don't think he recognizes me.

He nodded, studying his paper. "I'll give you a hundred if you give me a hundred." Yep, he doesn't know. "That's not how it works, Rindou." He took my paper and marked a hundred on it with his pen. "I haven't even done the work yet." He gave me a blank stare as if asking what the problem was. "Okay?? You want me to circle it?" He added a circle around the number. I sighed. This is gonna be a long day.

We sat in silence for a bit doing some of the problems. "Hey, what'd you get on number eight?" he questioned with his monotone voice. "I got 27." He looked up from his paper and stared at me. I never noticed his eyes before. They're purple. I've seen someone else with eyes like those before too. I don't want to talk about that guy though. He has the same last name as him too. Okay stop, Y/N, focus. "Huh? I got <EHG."

"What. The problem doesn't even talk about angles," I muttered, rereading the problem. He shrugged, "Bro, what'd I even do." I laughed, pulling his paper towards me. "Oh, you were solving the next problem by accident, you just put it under this one."

"Oh," he muttered, blushing, and pulling his paper back. "Thanks."

I hummed a 'you're welcome'. We ended up finishing, and he made sure I gave him a hundred on the paper, regardless of his actual score, following our deal from earlier. He checked mine again, still keeping the hundred from before, though. "You forgot your name," he stated. "Oh my bad." "It's fine, I wrote it."

I paused and stared at him silently. "You know my name?" He looked at me like I was stupid. "Yeah, you're Y/N, you're literally my brothers ex." BRO. HE KNOWS. HE KNEW THE WHOLE TIME!?! Okay calm down Y/N. Calm down. I put on a fake confused face, "Oh yeah, i'm surprised you remember that." Rindou chuckled a bit. He shook his head in disbelief and sighed, "You're going to be my partner from now on whenever we have to work with someone else," he stated, standing up and returning the chair to its original spot.

"Oh. Well, I was thinking I could work with the other girl-" "No, you'll be working with me."
