Damn.
I didn’t knew it would hurt her that much.
The way her tears were flowing when she said those words.
I just want to hug her and push all those hurtful memories away from her.
I was sitting in my office and thinking about last night.
“How did Rachel come back out of nowhere?" Ian asked.
“She contacted me.” I said.
“When?” he asked.
“His engagement night. When I didn’t knew that Emilia was getting engaged to Vincent. If I knew I wouldn’t have told her that he’s getting engaged.”
“Where was she all this time?”
“In France. Apparently, Her parents didn’t find anyone who they liked and they finally approved of Vincent to marry her.” I said.
“that’s ridiculous. I feel sad for Emilia though. But the good news is that she’s yours to be taken, again.” He said while standing up.
I smiled.
I knew I’ll get her back.
My luck was with me this time.
“You’ll come at the club tonight?”
“Yeah.”
Dad called me and said he wanted to talk to me about something important.
I sat in his office.
He looked up from the documents.
“So, You already know about what happened last night. And it was something that could have done more damage. But it didn’t because The media doesn’t know about it yet.” He said choosing his words wisely.
“What do you want me to do?” I asked straight.
“Marry her.” He said.
“Who?” I asked.
“Emilia Arthur.” He said while liting a cigar.
I remain my straight face. But inside I was dying of pleasure.
Never thought she would come to me herself.
“Has she agreed?” I asked.
“Yes. And the two families will fix the wedding date at dinner on the coming Saturday.”
“Alright.” I said.
Damn. I feel like I’ve got everything I ever wanted.
But how did she agreed so easily?
