“Emy, at least eat something.” Alicia said as she served me fresh pancakes.
I shook my head.
“I have a headache. I’m not in the mood to eat.” I said as I sat on the couch and closed my eyes. Tears were not stopping.
“Guys, what is going on?” Mia asked as she yawned and got out of the bedroom.
“Hadrian… cheated on her.” Olivia said as she packed Lucy’s things into the bag.
“What????” Mia said shocked.
“Yeah. See this.” Alicia gave her my phone.
Mia scrolled through the photos with opened mouth.
“Unbelievable!” Escaped her mouth.
Just then my phone rang in her hands.
“It’s… him.” Mia said as she gave me the phone.
I looked at the screen. And tears fall on my cheeks.
“Maybe you should talk to him about this.” Olivia said as she sat down with me and pat my back.
“I don’t want to.”
“He’s my brother and I know him. He’d never cheat on you. But the photos… they looked real.” Olivia said as she hold Lucy.
I nodded.
I stood up and got in the room.
I answered his phone.
“Hello, beautiful.” He said in his sleepy voice.
“Hi.” I said trying not to cry.
“You okay?” he asked with concern.
“Yeah. I’m… I’m Fine.”
“Hmm. I’m coming to pick you up. Get ready.” he said like he’s getting up from the bed.
“Don’t come.” I said.
“What? Why?”
“I’m not coming.” I said as I as sat down on the bed.
“but why?”
“Because… I have something important to do. I’ll call you when I’ll get free.” With that I hung up and finally let myself cry.
I weep into the pillow. My heart hurts. So much. The pictures of him with the girl who he was kissing flash into my eyes again and again.
Just then Alicia placed her hand on my shoulder.
“You can stay here for as long as you want.”
I shook my head.
“He knows I’m here. I don’t want to see him.”
“Then what you’ll do?” Alicia asked.
I think for a minute.
“I’m going to my parents home.”
“I’ll drop you there.”
I nodded as I got my things.
NIGHT TIME.
“Sweetie, tell us what happened? Where is Hadrian?” Mom asked as I lay down and put my head on her lap.
“I can’t come here whenever I want?” I asked her.
“Of course you can. It’s your home, you can come wherever you want. “ she said as she kissed my head.
“Then I’m here because I wanted to.”
She nodded.
My phone rang for the twentieth time and I put it on silent. It was him. It was raining heavily outside. I closed my eyes and listen to the thunderstorms.
