With both the Kim girls fed and dressed, we finally leave the house. Jennie struggled with leaving Ella but Ella simply waved goodbye. Contented to spend the day with me at the park. Ella and I worked together to make a packed lunch for Jennie after breakfast was finished. I allowed Ella to butter the bread with interesting results. Half the butter ended up on my hands but she had fun and anyway, she needs to start somewhere.

I put some music on in the car and the two of us sing and dance inside. People may think I'm weird but I don't care. I'm having fun with little Ella.

When we get to the park, we find it empty. Perfect. "Race you to the slide." I say pretending to rush to the slide but really letting Ella stay in front.

"Me first." Ella says, while starting to confidently climb the ladder. I hover behind her until she reaches the top. She's been to this park loads but she just seems too little, even for the toddler section. This park is cooler than any park I remember as a kid. The wooden tower is just tall enough that I can still reach Ella but she thinks she's high in the sky.

"Lili, watch me." She says while standing at the top of the slide.

"I'm watching." I tell her rushing to catch her at the bottom. Throwing her up in the air when she lands in my hands.

"Again." She squeals when I bring her back down. Oh no. I've definitely started something now.

I end up doing that a further three more times before I joke about swapping.

"You too big for the slide." She chuckles.

There is still nobody else in the park, so I think what the hell and climb to the top of the slide. Ella is giggling like crazy when I slide down.

"Don't tell your mummy." I say gathering Ella in my arms. "Right, what's next, Ella?"

She pauses to look around before pointing to the zip-line. I'm going to be so tired tonight with all the running around that she's getting me to do.
