Lisa
Hanbin who has known for a while now and has spent the last few minutes smiling into his pint, speaks up. "As someone who has known for a few years, I can vouch for the relationship."
Jennie and Hanbin don't get to talk that much as before but he's still protective of her like her elder brother. The first thing he said when we greeted each other earlier was to ask if I was looking after Jennie and Ella. It's because of this that I asked him a question, something which I'm hoping to find the right time to put into plan tonight.
With everyone flipping out over our relationship, it takes a while before I find the right time.
After taking a big sip of my drink to wet my bone-dry tongue, I get everyone's attention.
"Guys, I've got something I want to say." Turning to face Jennie, I grab her hand. I need to hold on to something to settle me.
"Jen, we had our first kiss in front of this lot, so I think it is only right that they get to witness what I have to say. I made a promise to you over ten years ago. On our last night together, I promised you that if neither of us were in a relationship by the time we were thirty, we would get married. I want to break that promise."
"What?" she asks sadly.
"Let her finish." Hanbin jumps in.
"Yeah, I want to break that promise because being your back-up is not good enough. Jen, I want to be your one and only choice."
Pushing my chair back, I reach into my pocket, pulling out the little box and dropping down to one knee.
"Jennie Kim, will you marry me?"
"Yes!" She cries before I can even finish the question. I jump to my feet and pull her into a kiss. A kiss that promises all the tomorrows in our future.
I slide the ring onto her finger and kiss it, while sealing it in place. "I love you, Jen."
"And I you. Always you, Lisa."
