Abhijeet's POV

" Abhi....Abhi...."

" What is it, Amma( Mother)?" I asked as I entered the sitting room. I saw Acha (Father)and Amma sitting with a girl whose back was turned to me.

On seeing me, Amma came up to me and asked,

" Is she sayingthe truth?"

" What..? ...Who?" I was perplexed by the sudden question

" Me...."

I looked up to see a beautiful girl with a magnificent smile standing in front of me. She has the most mesmerizing eyes that I have ever seen.

What happened to you , Abhi? You are daydreaming seeing this stranger. I immediately shook myself from these unwanted thoughts

" Who are you? Why are you here? What did you tell Amma?" I starte blasting her with questions

" Relax ... Relax....why are you using all the W's in the dictionary. I will introduce myself AGAIN. Myself Megha Nair. I am your girl friend's little sister" she explained

" Oh.... " I said until what she said registered," WHAT.... What girlfriend...." I shrieked, " Amma, don't believe this. I don't have any girlfriend "

" She was right. You are scared of your family. That's why I came. Don't worry I told everything to Uncle and Aunty and they are convinced. They are so nice and understanding" she began pacifying me sweetly seeing me flustered

I looked wide eyed at the girl who was blabbering all these rubbish while my Amma and Acha were smiling at her

"Stop... I don't know neither you nor your sister...." Before I could continue , she interrupted,

" Of course you don't know me but how can you say you don't know my sister who has been with you for the past three years"

In an instant the sweet smiling girl disappeared to be replaced by a lioness whose eyes were emitting fire directed at me.

Then she caught hold of my collar as I stood like a deer caught in limelight and threatened me

" If you think you can leave my sister and marry another. I will first beat you to a pulp then cut you into small....small.... small.small...small pieces and feed it to fishes"

I could only stand open mouthed staring at the angry bird in front of me.

Suddenly I heard someone giggling beside me. I turned to see Amma laughing at my plight and Acha trying to suppress his laughter.

" So Aunty, you will come to my house with the proposal, right?"

The change was worth watching. I was left wondering how could anyone change from sweet to furious and then back in the blink of an eye.

" Of course .... if kids love each other who are we to oppose"

" Thank you Aunty..." she squealed and hugged Amma tightly.

I saw Amma lovingly caress her cheeks.

" Then I will take my leave. Bye Uncle.." she gave her brilliant smile to Acha and then with a glare at me she left.

I was left dumbfounded by the happenings of the past 10 minutes. I could only stare at the way she went.

" Abhi, we thought we gave you enough freedom and acceptance" I was brought back by Amma's words

" Of course Amma...."

" Then why did you hide such an important part of your life. Did you think we will not accept your love?"

" No Amma...."

" He may have thought we have become old and may not understand their generation, right?" I turned to Acha on his statement

" That is not...." I tried again

" It is our fault . Maybe we didn't give you the confidence that you can confide anything with us" Amma sat on the couch dejectedly while Acha was consoling her

" STOP..." I yelled angrily, " First of all can anyone of you tell me what eactly happened here and what that girl was blabbering about?"

" Fine...THAT girl was telling us that my son and her sister are in a relationship for the past 3 years but you are scared to tell us. So tell me Abhi , do you know any girl by the name of Meena Nair?"

I was stunned to hear the name Meena Nair. I didn't know what to tell Acha and Amma at the moment. All fight drained out of me afterall I couldn't deny the truth.

" She was right, wasn't she?" Amma said reading my face expertly

I could see the disappointment in her eyes as she and Acha left the room.

" Amm......"

Megha's POV

" What did you do, Megha?"

" What...?"

" How can you just barge into someone's house and .... and...and..."

" I did not barge into SOMEONE'S house, afterall it is your future husband's house..."

" Megha...."

"....and when your darling Abhi does not have the guts to confess to his parents, then someone has to do it. I can't let my sister suffer" I continued arrogantly

" Don't say anything about , Abhi... and he told me that he will tell his parents but he needs some more time"

" Time.... Chechi(sister) ... you are so naive.... you are not recognizing that he is stalling and he is doing that for the past 3 years. Even when i confronted him, he denied having a girlfriend.." I scoffed remembering what happened earlier today, "But one thing I have to agree, your future in laws are so sweet. You know when I told them about you and Abhi, first they were shocked but once I told them in detail about your love story and showed them your picture they were in full support"

" Really...."

" Really...." saying this I pinched Meenu Chechi on her cheeks.

" I hope everything goes well" Meenu chechi prayed

" Why fear when Megha is here?" I replied with attitude . Then we both burst out laughing

Suddenly, Meenu Chechi's phone started ringing. We both looked to see Abhi's name flashing.

Meenu Chechi rushed to take the phone

" Oh ho.... someone is impatient" I
teased as a blush started adorning my cute sister's face.

" Megha...."

" I really don't SEE what YOU SEE in him but your life , your love" I said dramatically while my sister glared at me pointedly

" Ok...Ok... dont give me that look. You talk to YOUR ABHI in peace. I am going" I then turned to leave but looked back from the door and said," By the by tell him that I do not regret what I did today" saying this , I gave a flick of my hair and left

Author's POV

Meenu gave a shake of her head in resignation knowing the craziness of her little sister. Then with a smile on her face, she took the call of the love of her life. Megha was right about one thing, HER ABHI.

" Hello..."

Meena's eyes widened in shock on what she heard from the other side

" What...."
