Megha's POV

"Where are we?"

" Get down first"

With a mysterious  smile, Jeet got out of the car.

I looked around at the vast expanse, not understanding why we are here in the first place. It must be another one of Jeet's attempt.

It has been two weeks to that fateful night. Nobody raised that issue with me even though I could see the disgruntlement in Appachi,  one glare from Acha is enough to shut her up.

Priya has left the next day itself. She doesn't matter but I am glad to see the back of her. Jeet has informed me that she is now a closed chapter for him. But still it has left behind it's fair share of scars. In a way, it has broken me and I am still reeling from the aftereffects.

Jeet is taking lots of efforts to make me feel normal and I try to be for him but it's Jeet we are talking about. He can always see through my fake smile, but what to do,  some wounds are too deep  to be healed easily.

" Come on .... Jaan"

I looked at Jeet who was excitedly beckoning me over.

Whatever life has thrown at me, I am really grateful for Jeet. Where others were tiptoeing around me , he was the only one meeting me head on. The patience he shows sometimes overwhelms me.

I have never been this over emotional or an overthinker but now I couldn't help it. Life has seen to it...

In all this upheaval, Jeet stood by his words.... My pillar in this storm. I feel like roles have been reversed and he became Megha to my Jeet.

Suddenly, Jeet blindfolded me breaking me away from my thoughts.

"What is this,Jeet? How will I walk? I will fall for sure "

" With me, you will never fall" he whispered  lovingly near my ears

Holding me by my shoulder, he started walking with me.

After about 5 minutes, we stopped and he removed the blindfold.

I was blown away by the beauty that lay ahead of me.

The mountains, the trees, the waterfall were painting a picture right out of a dream.

" This place...."

"Not many know about it. I once came here on my school trip that too accidentally.  Our bus broke down on the way back and we had to stop here but I always felt it was destiny.  This place has always been my go to place in case of happiness  or sadness."

" I  get that"

And for the first time in two weeks I had a genuine smile on my face.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAAN "

I gazed at him in surprise as he slided a bracelet onto my wrist.

I could see it was one of a kind charm bracelet.

" It's beautiful, Jeet"

" I had it specially designed for you. Already I added some charms for our beautiful memories"

His face was reflecting the pure love of his heart and the smile on my lips started spreading towards my heart.
