Trust in Love

Chapter 15

Abhijeet's POV

With the stars above, I was living my dream beneath. Finally my Jaan is in my arms and my heart is at peace.

Our eyes were clashing with each other speaking a language where words were unnecessary. Each and every sentiments of our heart were evident in our eyes. I was sure, as I am able to read her unsaid emotion so she could mine.

I began tracing my fingers across her face. She closed her eyes on my touch while clutching tightly onto my shirt. With each touch, our breaths were becoming heavier and heavier. Without taking eyes off from her, I continued my action across her shoulders and down her arms until I reached her fingers which were still holding onto my shirt firmly. I released my poor shirt from her death grip which brought her eyes back to mine.

Threading my fingers through hers, I further pulled her to myself. Surprise was evident on her face as I lifted her face more near to me with my one hand while my other was playing at her back.

" Fight we will for sure but I promise that I will not let it fester" saying this I kissed on her right cheek

" Pain may arise but I promise to hold your hands through them"  I said while repeating the same on her left cheek

" Your tears are my weakness but I will never let you fall weak" I kissed on her eyes with my promise

" You are my strength and I will be yours till my last breath" sealing it with a kiss on her forehead. 

She rewarded me with a brilliant smile and wrapped her arms around my neck, then tiptoed to plant a kiss on my forehead.

" You are the boon I didn't recognize  but promise to cherish" her words brought a smile to my face

As her lips found my eyes,her words brought pure joy  to my soul

" I respect you, trust you and will always love you to the moon and back"

My eyes closed automatically to savour the feel of her lips next on my left cheek

" I will stand for you, with you and by you" a wife , a soulmate promised her better half

At last, a lone tear escaped my eye as I heard her final promise with a kiss on my right cheek

" I may fall but I will never let you fall"

Each of our promises were not only reverberating in our hearts but in our souls. Both our eyes welled up but the smile never left our face .

Suddenly, I remembered  something and my smile got replaced by a frown.

" What happened, Jeet?"

Megha was perplexed  by my sudden change

"Can't you for once be straight forward rather than twisting your words. For a moment there, you gave me a heart attack" I glared at her

" What do you mean?" She was still confused and stunned by my outrage

" That didn't happen for me" I mimicked her as sort of an explanation

" So? " she asked with raised eyebrows

" So....I thought you were going to let me down and was preparing  myself for a heart break" I screamed unbelievably

" Are YOU crazy? Just look around. Do you really thing I ....or anyone of that matter would painstakingly arrange this set up to reject someone?" She retorted angrily

I was tongue-tied after hearing her question. She has a valid point but in my defense who thinks logically when it is the matter of heart

" By the by , what wrong did I say. I only spoke the truth " Megha spoke with her usual attitude

" Really...." I asked sarcastically

" Really.... Isn't it the truth that we didn't walk the path TOGETHER. You fell for me first. In short , you are way ahead of me and I have to actually run to catch up with you, dont you think?"  she replied cheekily

Her explanation was so weird that I could only stare at her open mouthed. I realized that this will not be the last time that I will find myself  dumbstruck  by my wife.

" Close your mouth otherwise fly will get in...Now come, let's have dinner....Food is getting cold"

As she strutted past me, I caught hold of her hand and twirled her towards me. Hugging her from behind, I whispered near her ears. I could see the crimson red slowly sneaking up her cheeks as my lips touched her ears

" You know I am not at all hungry....." I drawled sexily and stopped for a secondobserving her reaction.

I could feel the effect my voice and proximity was doing to Megha even I was not spared.

I gently removed the hair from her shoulder and placed a lingering kiss on the exposed skin. She shivered and moaned my name. I barely was able to hold myself together when she moaned my name but I continued peppering kisses from the shoulder to the side of her neck . She tilted her head to the other side giving me further access. By the time I reached her ears , we both were heavily breathing and I felt like electric  energy was coursing through me. I knew if I didn't stop now then I will loose all my control.

"... but I am really thirsty" I completed my previous statement and walked away to get drinks as if it is the most natural thing to do.

I could sense Megha's astonishment which was turning into full blown rage. Her eyes most probably  will be boring at me.

I know I am crazy otherwise who in the right mind would leave behind a moment like this but I am also aware that we are not there yet.

Most importantly,I need to take my revenge too.

Jaan, you made me wait for 6 long months and put me through an emotional roller coaster today. Now it is my turn. Revenge is better served HOT....VERY VERY HOT.
