I sighed and sipped my coffee. My best friend Souske was running late to hang out with me again. He is never on time despite his stern composure. Souske usually tells me outrageous reasons why he's late, but I actually know why.

He's being stopped by girls.

It makes me jealous on how attractive he is and being flirted with every girl he sees. I don't know why I feel this though and it upsets me. Actually! You would never expect him to hang out with me. I always have my hair up in a ponytail and glasses on, with no makeup. I don't know why he insists to hangout with me and be my friend.

Souske's family lives next to mine so I've known him my whole life, and ever since he went to Samezuka and such he promised to hangout with me even more. I'm okay with it though.

"Oi! (Y/N)!"

I turned my head up and saw Souske standing at the end of the table.

"What is it Souske? You. Are. Late. Again." I said with a grin but with an evil aura.

Souske glared at me. "I'm here now aren't I? Shouldn't you greet me?" Souske also had a dark aura around him.

"As if!" I snapped.

Souske'd eyes widened.

"I know you're always being stopped by girls and flirted with! You think I'm dumb? I don't know why, but it annoys me!" I looked down at my coffee. "It... upsets me..." I trailed off.

"(Y/N)?"

I looked up and Souske pressed his lips against mine.

My eyes widened and I quickly scooted back. "S-Souske?!"

"Isn't that love (Y/N)?" He sat down in the booth with me and scooted close.

I blushed. Love? Love! I'm in love? I'm in love! With Souske? With Souske! I'm in love with Souske, my best friend. "Y-yes." I whispered. "But why me? I'm not pretty or any fun."

Souske chuckle and took off my glasses.

"S-Souske!?"

"Hush just let me do this." He then pulled my hair out of the ponytail and parted my bangs away. "Where's your purse?" I handed him my purse and he pulled out my lips gloss. "Put this on."

I did as he told me and sighed. "Souske how does this-"

He pulled out his phone and took a picture. He then showed me. "You are pretty (Y/N) and I love your personality. I've loved you since forever."

I blushed. "S-Souske thank you, but I can't see without my glasses." I paused. "I love you to Souske." I turned my head away and I felt Souske kiss my head.

"That's alright, now let's go on our date."

"Eh? Date! Who said this was a date! And my glasses! Give them back."

Souske stood up. "I said it was and you're not getting these back." He grabbed my hand and pulled me up.

We had a fun.... Date.
