Baker's Dozen

Baker! Haruka x Reader

I run a bakery with my lovely husband. Well at least I wish I did.

Haruka Nanase. A famous baker and especially good looking. Everyone knew his name. I've always wanted to meet him and I finally have the chance to. He's coming too Tokyo Japan today and I'm excited.

I've enjoyed baking for the longest time and Haru has been my idol for forever. He's only 23 at that! Two years older then me. He became a diligent baker at the age of 7 and he inspired me to aspire my dreams. (Such spires. Much dreams.)

I dressed in my best outfit and hurried out the door. I ran quickly to the station while carrying my water bottle with me. (Small details bro. They count.)

I took a five minute train ride to Tokyo and ran to my favorite bakery. They let me use the bakery to store some of my goodies so they wouldn't spoil since they have the perfect temperature in their fridges.

I picked up my goods and headed to the culinary arts show where he would be at. I bought a VIP pass just so I could meet him. I quickly got in because of my pass and began to head to Haru's station.

Suddenly someone grabbed my arm an I turned around. It was my friend Gou's brother Rin. "Hey." I said. We really don't talk so their is an awkward air around us.

"Why are you here?" He asked.

Nice to see you to Rin. How'd life? Oh that's cool. So is mine. "Uhm. Because I love to bake." He's being kind of rude.

He blushed and let go of my arm. "Er. Sorry I thought you were here to see Haruka."

I smiled. "I am for that reason also."

He frowned. "Why?"

"Because he inspired me to." I said joyfully. "Is there something wrong with that."

He stifled a laugh. "You know he went to Iwatobi high right?"

My eyes widened. Gou always talked about a Haru, but I never knew it would be my role model. "Whaaaa?"

"He was on the swim team. Same grade as Makoto." He chuckled.

"Ah! I miss Makoto a lot." Makoto was my childhood friend and who knew he was friends with Haru.

Rin suddenly grabbed my arm and dragged me somewhere. "Hey-"

"Just wait." Rin interrupted me. I silently obliged and went along with him. He led me behind some door and to a place I have no clue existed until I realized we were in the back where all the bakers hung out and talked. I drew in a breath and saw Haru come into my view slowly.

"Hey Haru!" Rin shouted.

Haru looked over at us and got up. He stepped over to us and eyed me. "Hi. Who's this?"

Rin clicked his tongue. "It's the person Gou always talked about. (F/N)."

Haru made eye contact with me and smiled a little.

I blushed. I witnessed with my own eyes a rare blush from the great Nanase.

"Oh. It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person Ms. (F/N)."

I pulled my arm away from Rin and quickly bowed. "The pleasure is all mine."

Haru shook his head. "Please don't be so formal."

I smiled. "Right back at you."

Haru, Rin, and I hung out all day, besides the show of course.

I marveled at everything and was secretly happy to hang out with Haru.

"Hey I gotta go. They are calling me in for work." Rin said looking at his phone.

"What's your job?" I asked curiously.

"He's a cop." Haru answered before Rin.

I nodded in approval. "Nice."

Rin clicks his tongue while walking away. "Whatever. Bye." He waved his hand.

After that Haru and I awkwardly stood there quietly until he spoke up first. "I have a surprise for you."

I turned my head and smiled. "What is it?"

He grabbed my hand and began to pull me along. "You'll see."

After being dragged once again, we arrived back in the baker's rooms and he opened one of the doors. Inside was a huge spread of tea cakes, scones, samplers, cheesecakes, cookies, brownies, cakes, and other goodies.

I marveled at the scene and stared in awe with my jaw hanging open a bit. "Wow! They look so amazing."

"Wanna eat them? I made them all."

I turned with wide eyes. "Really?" I then remembered I also had some of my own work with me. I pulled them out and handed the bag to him. "I also made these."

He smiled. "I gratefully accept your gift."

I blushed and we continued to eat desserts until we got stomachs aches.
