Childhood Memories

Makoto x Reader (This story is kind of like a second part to wish. The events in this story come after and before your passing)

I stood silently in front of her grave. I kneeled down and traced over the text with my finger. "(F/N) (L/N)." I whispered.

How could this happen. I should've stayed with her when she needed it, but all I did was sit there and watch her slowly fade away. More tears began to stream down my cheeks. It's only been a month since her passing and I still can't move on. She was special to me. She was the light of my life. Especially when we were kids.

"Heh." I smiled as I thought about my childhood memories.

I ran around playing tag with Rin, Haru, and Nagisa. We always played together like this and I enjoyed it.

I was hiding behind a tree looking around my surroundings so Nagisa wouldn't find me. He was the one who was 'it'. I then spotted a girl out of the corner of my eye hiding behind a tree watching us. I walked over to her and she hid behind the tree.

"Hey do you wanna play with us?" I asked.

She slowly poked her head out again. "Really?" She asked shyly.

I nodded and smiled. "Yeah!" I then held my hand out to her. "let's go hide and run together."

She smiled and grabbed my hand.

~Two Years later~

We were now all on a swim team together. Haru, Nagisa, Rin, (F/N) and I.

(F/N) ran over to me and smiled. "Makoto-chan we're next for the team race!" She said enthusiastically.

"Really? Let's go then!" I smile and laughed.

~Three years later~

We were at graduation for junior high and I looked over at (F/N) sitting next to me. Her name was called and she stood up and did what every other student did.

After graduation we were sitting on the roof. "To bad we aren't going to the same school." I sighed out heavily.

She giggled and punched my shoulder lightly. "Actually I took the test for Iwatobi and got in." She smiled.

"What?! Really! Then you Haru and I will all be going to the same highschool?!"

"Yep!" She said smiling.

~Few months after~

"Let's start a swim club!" Nagisa said cheerfully.

"That's a great idea!" (F/N) said enthusiastically.

I laughed. "I guess we can. What do you think Haru?"

"It doesn't sound like my kind of thing." He said sternly.

"Well we do get to swim in a pool." (F/N) added.

"Let's do it." Haru said instantly.

~Few weeks later~

We were happy. All of us. Rei, Nagisa, Haru, Gou, (F/N), and I. Were we like a happy family. A family that I never wanted to let go of.

"I'd knew you'd be here."

I turned my head to see Haru. "Yeah." I whispered.

"You skipped practice."

I laughed. "It's just not the same without her. It's no longer a happy family."

Haru then grabbed my collar and pulled me up. "NO ONE THINKS ITS THE SAME! MAKOTO! DO YOU THINK (F/N) WANTED THIS? No! Neither... Did we." Haru was crying now. "We all miss her. We all miss you Makoto. We need you. She needs you. So please. We are a happy family." He fell to his knees while gripping my shirt.

My eyes widened. Haru never acted this way. I kneeled down. "You're right Haru. We'll always be a happy family." I began to cry with him. "A big happy family."

You're POV

I watched silently standing next to my grave. I wish I could tell them. Tell them all that I agree. We are a happy family no matter what happens. I wiped a tear from my cheek.

"Thank you for everything." I smiled as Makoto and Haru both looked at me with surprise.
